Organizers for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics plan to hold swimming in the home of the NFL’s Rams and Chargers — and softball and canoe slalom in Oklahoma. That’s according to an amended venue plan unveiled Friday by LA28, the 2028 Games’ organizing committee. It will be the largest swimming venue in Games history, per LA28, with 38,000 seats. LA28 organizers faced one complication with the SoFi swimming plan, however: The stadium is also set to be part of the Games’ opening ceremonies. The venue plan adjustments are in part due to new arenas that have become available for use and a previously assigned venue that became unavailable, LA28 said.

“We are actively investigating a cyber incident,” CDK spokesperson Lisa Finney said in a statement shared with CNN. To protect customer privacy, customer’s details aren’t written out on a piece of paper that’s just sitting on the desk anymore. Instead, information about deals and customer appointments is kept in a server that’s now impossible for his salespeople to access. A statement shared by CDK later in the afternoon said some of the company’s system had been restored to operation but not all of them, yet.

The healthcare sector's 7% return this year is less than half of the S&P 500's 14.9% gain. At first glance, the lack of interest in healthcare stocks seems justified, given the group's subpar earnings growth. However, the upcoming earnings rebound for healthcare stocks isn't accounted for in valuations. Fortunately for investors, BMO has done that legwork by highlighting a slew of top healthcare stocks in its US model portfolios. Below are the eight outperform-rated healthcare stocks in BMO's model portfolios, along with the ticker, market capitalization, and group or groups that each is in.

The nearly 150-year-old University of the Arts in Philadelphia will close its doors June 7. “The situation came to light very suddenly,” an announcement on its website said. It noted that “UArts has been in a fragile financial state, with many years of declining enrollments, declining revenues and increasing expenses.”Enrollment is down from 2,038 in 2013. “If you spent five minutes there, you could tell it was oozing with talented students. CHICAGO — Pfizer on Friday said its drug for an advanced form of lung cancer showed promising long-term results in a late-stage trial, which may help establish it as the new standard treatment for the condition. The drug, called Lorbrena, also cut the risk of the cancer progressing in patients' brains. Only about 5% of all non-small cell lung cancer patients have the mutation, which causes cancer cells to grow and spread abnormally. But Pfizer's drug isn't currently considered the standard – or the most appropriate and widely used – treatment for the condition. Nearly 300 people in the trial either received Lorbrena or Pfizer's older lung cancer drug Xalkori.

UBS raised its year-end S & P 500 target to 5,600 on better-than-expected earnings growth and falling risks of a recession. The new target Tuesday from strategist Jonathan Golub is tied for the highest on Wall Street with Brian Belski of BMO. UBS notes that earnings growth for the first quarter was expected to be just 4.1% — but is on track to reach 10.6% once all S & P 500 companies have reported. Wall Street strategists have scrambled recently to keep up with 2024's surprising rally on the back of artificial intelligence enthusiasm and a strong economy. After a series of recent increases, the median target on Wall Street is now 5,300.

Back in September, Scarlett Johansson, who played the hauntingly complex AI assistant in the 2013 Spike Jonze film “Her,” got a request from OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman. He wanted to hire Johansson to voice his company’s newest ChatGPT model, “Sky.” She said no. Johansson quickly lawyered up, saying Monday she was “shocked, angered and in disbelief” that Altman would use a voice “so eerily similar” to her own. OpenAI was forced to confront some of those concerns late last week, after two prominent employees left the company. “Being friends with AI will be so much easier than forging bonds with human beings,” wrote Wired editor Brian Barrett in a recent essay about the movie.

Since then, several major investment firms have lifted their long-term S&P 500 price targets. The firm recommends pairing cyclicals and growth stocks with those attributes so that investors are prepared for stronger or weaker growth. Technology firms using AI need more power, which is a major long-term tailwind for utility companies, Wilson wrote. You can't argue with a market making new record highs, though it's fair game to interrogate the tape about its assumptions and intentions. With the Dow Jones Industrial Average closing above 40,000 for the first time Friday and the S & P 500 settling above 5,300 after hitting a fresh all-time high Wednesday, the advice of history suggests not overthinking it. CNN —LeBron James sat courtside for the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 102-109 defeat to the Boston Celtics in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals on Monday. James’ presence wasn’t enough to inspire the Cavaliers, however, as Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum combined for 60 points to lift the Celtics to a commanding 3-1 series lead. Tatum finished with a game high 33 points to go with 11 rebounds, five assists and two steals, while Brown had 27 points and eight rebounds. The Cavaliers were without star guard Donovan Mitchell, who missed the contest due to a calf strain suffered in the fourth quarter of Game 3. The news was a pre-match sucker punch for Cleveland, with Mitchell putting up 33 points in the Game 3 loss on Saturday, his sixth straight playoff game scoring at least 25 points.

Daniel Kramer, a photojournalist who captured Bob Dylan’s era-tilting transformation from acoustic guitar-strumming folky to electric prince of rock in the mid-1960s, and who shot the covers for his landmark albums “Bringing It All Back Home” and “Highway 61 Revisited,” died on April 29 in Melville, N.Y., on Long Island. His death, in a nursing home, was confirmed by his nephew Brian Bereck. Rolling Stone magazine once described Mr. Kramer as “the photographer most closely associated with Bob Dylan.” But that designation seemed highly improbable at the outset. Although Mr. Dylan had already begun his rise to global fame — he released his third album, “The Times They Are a-Changin’,” in early 1964 — Mr. Kramer knew little about him. That changed in February 1964, when he watched the 22-year-old Mr. Dylan perform his rueful ballad “The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll” on “The Steve Allen Show.” The song details a real event in which a Black woman died after being struck with a cane by a wealthy white man at a white-tie Baltimore party.
