Slowing rate of change in earnings growth There are two important trends to follow in earnings. In the case of Nvidia, earnings are continuing to increase, but the rate of change is decelerating. This earnings report will likely be the final time in this stretch that Nvidia will see triple-digit earnings growth. But the impact has been shrinking – just as the overall Mag 7 impact has been diminishing with second quarter earnings growth broadening out. I predicted last weekend that the Democrats will find a way to jettison Joe Biden; that likelihood seems to fluctuate daily or even hourly, but for now my prediction stands. Because it is so obvious to me, I had long assumed the Democratic Party would consider it equally obvious. But it is no longer clear to me that the party’s elected officials actually share that assumption. But to the extent that goal conflicts with other, more mundane imperatives, more than a few Democrats seem to view beating Trump as a secondary objective. He’s going to be a killer rebounder, monster screener and will consistently establish his position even against some of the stronger NBA players. I’m done doubting Edey, even as an NBA player. As an enormous ballhandler with serious touch and incredible vision as a passer, Topić is clearly an NBA player, even if it doesn’t all translate. Shannon is an elite athlete, but the NBA game requires more nuance, especially if he continues to be an inconsistent shooter. However, I also think he’s more than just a floor spacer on offense in spot-up situations and potentially as an off-ball scorer.

A federal judge on Friday ordered the liquidation of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones′ personal assets and was still deciding on his company's separate bankruptcy case. Judge Christopher Lopez approved converting Jones' proposed personal bankruptcy reorganization to a liquidation. He was still set to rule on whether Jones' company, Austin, Texas-based Free Speech Systems, also should be liquidated. It wasn't immediately clear what will happen to Free Speech Systems, which is Infowars' parent company. If Free Speech Systems' case is dismissed, the company could return to the same position it was in after the $1.5 billion was awarded in the lawsuits.

CNN —As a journalist and professor who teaches media ethics, I have long been against the kind of undercover secret recording activist Lauren Windsor made of Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito and his wife, as well as Chief Justice John Roberts. Join us on Twitter and FacebookWhat Windsor discovered does not tell me as much as ProPublica and The New York Times have about the secrecy and shocking lack of ethics in the Supreme Court. But she did make me think Alito is even farther to the religious right than I thought. But while the approach was similar, Maryland has a law against secret recordings; two-person consent is required. But she broke no law in taking us behind closed doors and a little further into the mind of Alito.
