Bentley Motors is pushing back its plans to exclusively offer all-electric vehicles by the end of this decade due to changing market conditions and a delay in its first EV. CEO Adrian Hallmark said the famed British luxury carmaker remains committed to carbon neutrality and exclusively offering EVs, but it now plans to do so a couple of years later. Bentley will continue offering plug-in hybrids alongside BEVs, or battery electric vehicles, past its previous target of 2030, Hallmark said. Bentley is among a growing number of automakers to change, delay or cancel ambitious EV plans as global adoption grows slower than many expected. The company now expects its first EV to be released in 2026, pushing back the release of the subsequent vehicles as well.

Those more concerned with the climate crisis are asking a bigger question: what does this all mean for the planet? UBS issued a rare double-downgrade on Rivian , waving the warning flag amid signs of trouble for the battered electric vehicle stock. The European Union's investigation into state subsidies given to Chinese electric vehicle makers is progressing and should deliver its results within nine to 11 months, Valdis Dombrovskis, executive vice president of the European Commission, told CNBC on Wednesday. The probe was launched by the European Union in September to address alleged market distortion from the price of Chinese EVs being kept artificially low. "What we are assessing when launching this investigation, whether there is a threat of injury for EU industry," Dombrovskis said. UBS has identified the stocks set to benefit from the growth of next-generation "solid-state" battery electric vehicles. Solid-state batteries are viewed as a potential breakthrough technology because they can store more energy than lithium-ion batteries and charge faster. Toyota's targets for solid-state batteries are about double the capacity of the longest-range Tesla vehicles. The automaker's planned transition to solid-state batteries for its EVs by the late 2020s makes the company's stock an attractive investment, according to the investment bank. Companies Denso Corp FollowTOKYO, Nov 15 (Reuters) - Japanese automotive supplier Denso (6902.T) aims to increase its revenue from electrification to 1.2 trillion yen ($7.97 billion) by the 2025 business year and 1.7 trillion yen by the turn of the decade, the company said on Wednesday. Denso aimed to grow its revenue from advanced-driver assistance systems (ADAS) to 520 billion yen by the 2025 business year and said it would further unwind cross-shareholdings, according to presentation materials. "As electrification centred on battery electric vehicles progresses from the 2025 business year onward, we want to reach 1.7 trillion yen by 2030 by expanding sales globally," he said. Denso has been ahead of other firms in actively reducing its cross-shareholdings, Matsui said, adding that none of the remaining holdings were off limits. Denso reiterated an October commitment to invest about 500 billion yen in semiconductors by 2030 and pledged to boost the number of workers in software to some 18,000 people by 2030, about 1.5 times of their current level.

De Meo has targeted a valuation of 8-10 billion euros ($8.6-10.7 billion) for the initial public offering (IPO) of Ampere, which has already been delayed once and is now slated for spring 2024. CNN —Stellantis’ new Ramcharger pickup, expected to go on sale late next year, will be an “electric” truck, the company says. It will be sold alongside the Ram REV, the company’s actual fully-electric truck, expected to go on sale around the same time. Tim Kuniskis, the head of Stellantis’ Ram truck brand, insisted during a press conference that the Ram 1500 Ramcharger is not a plug-in hybrid. Also, the Ram truck can use DC fast chargers to quickly recharge its batteries. Ram previously unveiled an electric-only truck, the Ram REV, which will also go on sale late next year.
