Alana, half sister of “Next in Fashion” host Gigi and 2022 Model of the Year Bella Hadid, made her runway debut at Copenhagen Fashion Week opening the Spring-Summer 2024 show for Danish brand Saks Potts on Monday. At Saks Potts, Alana wore a pair of silver flip flops and sequinned skirt. Matt Jelonek/Getty ImagesWhile the presence of metallic flip flops may be a cause of concern for some, the laissez-faire footwear has long been the staple shoe of Copenhagen’s style set. In 2018, Vogue declared Havaianas the shoe of the Danish capital’s fashion week and the trend has held steady ever since. Matt Jelonek/Getty ImagesBella and Gigi’s older sister has already followed up her catwalk debut, later walking for Copenhagen brand Munthe.

But it's exhausted the capabilities of asynchronous care, one healthcare expert told Insider. The answer may lie in in-home monitoring technology, healthcare experts told Insider, which could be the next phase of telemedicine. Another example of a telemedicine model that uses in-home monitoring to expand access to care is the startup Bicycle Health. But there are obstacles to getting this kind of care to patients, including doctors' resistance to telemedicine and federal and state regulation. "For one-quarter century, this has been the domain of states," Kyle Zebley, senior vice president of public policy at the American Telemedicine Association, told Insider.

June 22 (Reuters) - Australia all-rounder Ellyse Perry missed out on an Ashes test century by one run on a rain-hit first day of the one-off match against England as the visitors reached 328-7 at stumps at Trent Bridge, Nottingham on Thursday. Australia opted to bat after winning the toss but their openers Beth Moooney and Phoebe Litchfield could not convert their starts before Perry came to the crease. She built a valuable 119-run stand with Tahlia McGrath before spinner Sophie Ecclestone beat McGrath's defence to bowl her for 61. The test is the curtain-raiser of the multi-format series, with three Twenty20s and three one-day internationals to follow, as England bid to regain the Ashes from Australia after going winless in the 2021-22 campaign. In a week that included another interest-rate hike by the Federal Reserve and a rescue of First Republic by JPMorgan Chase , the KBW Regional Banking Index, which tracks regional banks in the U.S., was down 28% this year, through Friday.

SYDNEY, May 6 (Reuters) - Fijiana Drua put aside a season of adversity to retain the Super W title with a 38-30 victory over the Queensland Reds in the final of the sixth edition of the Australian elite women's competition in Townsville on Saturday. While last year they topped the regular season standings, this year the Drua finished fourth and had to beat the four-times champion New South Wales Waratahs in the semi-finals to reach the final. On Saturday, tries from Drua number eight Sereima Leweniqila and winger Adita Miliana early in the second half broke open what had been a tight game. Hooker Tiarna Molloy and replacement winger Sam Curtis scored tries to make the scoreline more respectable but the Reds were unable to escape a fourth loss in the five Super W finals. "What an epic battle that was tonight, we'll definitely be back next year," said Queensland captain and Olympic Sevens champion Shannon Parry.

What Are AT1 Bonds, and Why Are They Risky?
  + stars: | 2023-03-25 | by ( Alana Pipe | Nate Rattner | ) www.wsj.com   time to read: 1 min
Swiss regulators announced on March 19 a wipeout of more than $17 billion of Credit Suisse Group AG’s additional Tier 1 bonds, or AT1s, shocking investors as shareholders were paid out before some bondholders. AT1 bonds deliver higher yields than many comparable assets, which makes them attractive to investors willing to take the risk. AT1 bonds are popular among European banks as a way to build up safety buffers. Following the 2008 financial crisis, many countries in Europe signed on to a regulatory framework called Basel III, under which they passed laws requiring large banks to maintain a financial cushion for protection during a downturn.
The Banking Sector Turmoil in Charts

It has been a wild ride for banks. Silicon Valley Bank, which catered to venture capitalists and startups, collapsed March 10 after a run on deposits that was preceded by a plunging share price and a money-losing bond sale as the bank tried to raise capital. Two days later, Signature Bank was closed by federal regulators following a run. Then, First Republic Bank , at risk of a run as its share price plummeted, was flooded with cash in an extraordinary action by some of the largest U.S. banks—but its shares resumed their plunge a day later. Here is how some banks ended up in the market’s crosshairs.
Junk-Rated Companies Are Borrowing Again

Bond yields have been rising again lately. That could create complications for low-rated companies that had just started to enjoy having easier access to credit. As inflation showed signs of easing early this year, investors bet that the Federal Reserve might pivot quickly to slashing interest rates. That increased demand for bonds, driving down yields on new and existing corporate debt.
Operators of hotels, bars and restaurants—hit hard as the Covid-19 pandemic took hold—are now among the country’s fastest-growing employers, offsetting a slowdown in tech-related hiring. The leisure-and-hospitality industry is rebuilding its workforce after cutting back during the pandemic’s early days. In contrast, companies focused on providing business and tech-related services have slowed their growth in recent months.
When your smartphone tosses up a photo memory, it’s a bit of a crapshoot. Sometimes you get to recall that fun trip down the shore or enjoy a compilation of your children’s birthday parties over the years. Other times, it’s heartache. More classified documents from the Obama administration were found in President Joe Biden’s Delaware residence this week — in addition to the two batches that were previously disclosed — the White House said Saturday. The newest set of pages were discovered by White House lawyer Richard Sauber on Thursday in a box initially uncovered by the president's personal lawyers on Wednesday. The White House revealed earlier this week that Biden's lawyers had discovered one document with classified markings in a room adjacent to the garage of his Delaware home. "The President’s personal attorneys discovered one document with a classified marking consisting of one page in a room adjacent to the garage. At that point, the President’s personal attorneys stopped searching the immediate area where the document was found," Sauber said.

Trump told Jan. 6 demonstrators at the Capitol in a Twitter video that he loved them but that they should go home. The information was expected to be available as soon as Thursday — the day the House Jan. 6 committee is set to issue its final report on the riot.
It could be worse, the president could have tried to kill’ — he didn’t say kill — ‘the president could have tried to strangle you on Jan. 6,’” Hutchinson said. Hutchinson recalled how during a drive to New Jersey she began wondering whether any aide in the Richard Nixon administration had held a position similar to her own during the Watergate scandal. In remarks, she thanked the Jan. 6 Committee for its work ahead of the final report's release. Hutchinson, who delivered bombshell testimony to the Jan. 6 committee this summer, had previously been represented by Stefan Passantino, who had also worked as a lawyer in the Trump White House.
