Models, including Naomi Campbell, emerged on the runway, moving swiftly in loose suits, sheer fitted dresses, bra tops and jeans. The label, founded in 2013, is known for generating buzz during Paris Fashion Week, last year spray painting a dress on Bella Hadid, and more recently, sending robot dogs onto the runway. Paris Fashion Week runs until Oct. 3 and features brands including Chanel, Hermes and LVMH-owned Louis Vuitton.

The two companies had challenged the lower court's decision that they may owe copyright damages that accrued prior to three years before plaintiff Sherman Nealy sued them. Nealy has argued that his Miami record label Music Specialist owns the rights to the 1984 song "Jam the Box" by Tony Butler, also known as Pretty Tony. Nealy said he did not learn of the alleged copyright violations until 2016, and requested damages for copyright infringement that he said started as early as 2008. Circuit Court of Appeals limited copyright damages to the three-year period before a lawsuit is filed. The case has drawn interest from music industry trade groups including the Recording Industry Association of America and National Music Publishers' Association, which also encouraged the court to take up the case.

It was the French label's second show at Paris Fashion Week since founder Pierre Cardin died in 2020, building on its space-age catwalk in March after a gap of more than two decades. Fashion Week, which runs until Oct. 3, will feature more than 100 designers, including Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Hermes, dozens of new international designers, as well as French fashion house Balmain whose show will go ahead despite the theft of part of its collection. Thieves seized the vehicle carrying some 50 items between a Paris airport and the label's headquarters in the French capital.
