Un bărbat a încercat vineri să incendieze Biserica Tuturor Naţiunilor din Grădina Gethsimani, în Ierusalimul de Est, înainte de a fi arestat, a anunţat poliţia israeliană care a declarat că privilegiază pista criminală, informează AFP. "Unităţile de poliţie au arestat un bărbat de 49 de ani care a turnat lichid inflamabil în interiorul bisericii", a anunţat purtătorul de cuvânt al poliţiei israeliene, Micky Rosenfeld, într-un comunicat, fără a face alte precizări, scrie agerpres.ro. Potrivit unui purtător de cuvânt al Bisericilor de pe Pământul Sfânt, Wadie Abou Nassar, suspectul este "un evreu ortodox". "Îi mulţumim lui Dumnezeu pentru stingerea rapidă a focului", a subliniat el într-un comunicat, îndemnând poliţia să ancheteze "serios" asupra incidentului şi evocând posibile "motivaţii rasiste".
