Former President Donald Trump’s campaign, including key members of Vance’s team, has been honing his debate strategy for more than a month, the source said. Jason Miller, a senior Trump campaign adviser, and Vance’s wife, Usha, have been involved in the sessions, the source said, along with Vance’s closest political advisers. The fight over Wisconsin — considered a must-win for Harris as part of Democrats’ so-called blue wall — could tilt the election. Tim Walz has re-energized staff members in the state, a campaign official told NBC News. “If we’re going to put up affordable housing, we don’t just want to house one family. We want to house five or six or eight or 25 families,” said Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, who has overseen the Minneapolis 2040 plan. Trump even muddled the most basic attack on connecting Harris to Biden, claiming at one point that Biden "hates" his own vice president. Trump, an acolyte of Roy Cohn, forgot the controversial lawyer's most famous adage to "Attack, Attack, Attack" when he needed it the most.
