CNN —Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce could potentially be heading towards retirement, but right now, he appears to be focused on having the time of his life. The seven-time Pro Bowl center was in attendance in western New York on Sunday in support of his younger brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Kelce was also seen in among the action before the game as well. Kelce and Swift are spotted in the suite ahead of the game. All in all, while it might have been a Kelce family day to remember, Jason definitely seemed to be the one in the best spirits.

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills know the feeling all too well. But the Bills fell short of their ultimate goal Sunday night with a 27-24 loss in the divisional round — again — and against the Kansas City Chiefs — again. It was the third straight year the Bills' season ended in this round of the playoffs. Political Cartoons View All 253 ImagesTwo years ago, it was “13 Seconds” — the amount of time it took Patrick Mahomes to drive the Chiefs for a tying field goal. Tyler Bass missed a 44-yard field goal attempt with 1:43 left, and the Chiefs ran out the clock from there.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Taylor Swift blew a kiss after someone greeted her by yelling “Bills by a billion,” upon arriving at Highmark Stadium to watch boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs face the Buffalo Bills in a divisional playoff game on Sunday night. The pop music superstar was escorted by a heavy security presence to a suite overlooking the west end zone, and located just below the name of Bills Hall of Fame coach Marv Levy’s name on the stadium's Wall of Fame. Swift was wearing a white jacket with red Chiefs trim, and featuring a large red star. ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Travis Kelce caught two touchdown passes from Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs advanced to their sixth straight AFC championship game with a 27-24 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night. The defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs (13-6) move on to Baltimore to face Lamar Jackson and the conference’s top-seeded Ravens, who beat Houston 34-10 on Saturday. Baltimore defeated Kansas City 36-35 in their most recent regular-season matchup in Week 2 of the 2021 season. And the Chiefs ended Buffalo’s season for the third time in four years, including a 38-24 decision at Kansas City in the 2020 season AFC championship game. It was another disappointing finish for a Bills team that won its fourth consecutive AFC East title, and was on a six-game roll since a 20-17 win at Kansas City on Dec. 10.

On Sunday, crews in Memphis, Tennessee continued to work around the clock to find and fix broken pipes that were causing low water pressure throughout the system. Elsewhere, freezing rain, sleet and high wind gusts later Sunday would make traveling in parts of Kansas and Oklahoma particularly treacherous, the National Weather Service said. “With no additional replenishment of arctic air from Canada, a steady warm-up is in store for the mid-section of the country,” the weather service said. Trees and power lines already coated with ice could topple if they get more, the National Weather Service warned. “Stay safe out there over the next several days as our region tries to thaw out,” the weather service said.

At 2 p.m. on Friday, Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y., home to the Buffalo Bills, was covered in snow. Mounds of white powder were piled high across the stadium, obscuring signs, burying seats and blocking the tunnels that lead from the locker rooms to the field. But the Bills, set to face the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in the second round of the National Football League playoffs, had a plan. Ethan Cuddihy, 23, a Buffalo native and a lifelong Bills fan, was more than willing. The team’s beloved quarterback, Josh Allen, had already given him so much; it was only right that Mr. Cuddihy return the favor, he said.

The mega-star joins a growing concert of companies and countries that are using these climate indulgences to offset their CO2 emissions. While the credits have a notional financial value, their primary purpose is to deflect criticism.

The apparent win for the streaming service comes after it reported nearly $3 billion in losses last year. "We couldn't be prouder of our partnership with Peacock and are thrilled with the results of the first-ever exclusively live-streamed NFL playoff game," said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell . Even before Saturday's strong viewership numbers, the NFL had plans to have streaming-only playoff games beyond this season. Last year, the NFL inked a one-year deal with NBCUniversal to carry this playoff game exclusively on Peacock. ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Mother Nature might not be through complicating the Buffalo Bills’ playoff schedule, leaving coach Sean McDermott assessing his options on Tuesday. McDermott said the team, for now, is still scheduled to practice on Wednesday and Thursday, while monitoring a forecast that projects a lake-effect storm dumping nearly 2 feet of snow on the Buffalo region. It’s too early to determine whether officials would impose a travel ban, which would potentially prevent Bills players from driving to their facility. The Bills are also dealing with a rash of injuries, with at least nine players’ status uncertain. Our team’s been resilient, and our players have done a phenomenal job of stepping up when someone has gone down,” he added.

‘Peacock Game’: The NFL’s Digital Buttfumble

The Dallas Cowboys are toast, and that is always amusing, but I shall write about the Kansas City Chiefs, because they were in “The Peacock Game.” The Peacock Game! For irritated fans, it immediately enters the Hall of NFL Infamy, alongside The Heidi Game, The Tuck Rule, and my favorite football calamity, Le Buttfumble. Here was a marquee Wild-Card weekend playoff contest, walled off from the nonpaying public, all because the NFL sold the game to a mega media conglomerate, NBCUniversal, which wanted to use it to attract new subscribers for Peacock, its paid streaming service featuring French bike racing and 19 zillion reruns of Law & Order.

The Wild Card game, which aired on the streaming service Peacock, was the most streamed U.S. event ever, drawing 23 million viewers, according to Comcast NBCUniversal, Peacock’s owner. It also was the largest event ever for internet usage in the U.S., accounting for 30% of web traffic, making Saturday the single highest day of U.S. internet usage in history.

The “Peacock Exclusive Wild Card” game garnered 23 million total viewers, according to Nielsen. NBC said in a release that the game sets records for the “most-streamed live event in US history” and was also responsible for the most internet usage ever in the US on a single date, consuming 30% of internet traffic during the Saturday night game. That number also includes viewership figures from the local NBC affiliates in Miami and Kansas City and on the NFL+ mobile app, where the game was also shown outside of Peacock. Notably, the ratings for the exclusively streamed game was up 6% over last year’s primetime AFC Wild Card Game that was shown on NBC’s broadcast network. It recorded an average of 27 million viewers overall, which NBC said at the time made it the most-watched Sunday show since the 2023 Super Bowl.
