I find that my carry-on bag is practically tied to me while I'm in the airport, which can become annoying. Avoiding this anxiety-inducing exercise and not rushing to board is a little luxury worth the price of checking a bag. Opting for a large checked bag means I can pack everything I want to bring on my tripI can pack tons of different outfits in my checked bag. But if you ask me, checking a bag is a relatively easy way to have a better travel experience.

Brazilian investigators on Saturday began analyzing the black boxes from a São Paulo-bound flight to try to understand why the passenger plane fell from 17,000 feet on Friday, in a crash that killed all 62 on board. But to aviation experts around the world who watched the videos showing the 89-foot plane spinning slowly as it plummeted before crashing almost directly on its belly, the question of what had happened was simple to answer: The plane had stalled. In other words, the plane’s wings had lost the lift needed to keep the aircraft aloft, causing it to stop flying and start falling. “You can’t get into a spin without stalling,” said John Cox, an airline pilot for 25 years who now aids plane crash investigations. “It’s A plus B equals C.”

CNN —Alleged Sinaloa cartel co-founder Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, in a statement released by his attorney, reiterated the claim he was “ambushed” and “kidnapped” by a son of notorious drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzmán and hand-delivered to US authorities. In a room with a table topped with fruit, Zambada said, Joaquín Guzmán gestured for the cartel boss to follow him to a dark room nearby. He said he was driven to a landing strip and forced onto a private plane, where Joaquín Guzmán removed his hood and bound him to a seat using zip ties. Former President Donald Trump’s plane landed in Billings, Montana, on Friday night after suffering a mechanical issue, according to the U.S. Secret Service.
