Read our review Read Our Review A looong arrow, pointing rightThe Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card comes with a decent welcome bonus and perks for a no-annual-fee card, but unless paying an annual fee is a dealbreaker for you, other Marriott cards — like the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card, Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant™ American Express® Card, or Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card — are a better deal. The Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card is one of six Marriott credit cards currently available to new applicants, and it's the only version that doesn't charge an annual fee. For most folks who stay with Marriott, even occasionally, the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card and Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card are a better deal. Generally, the Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card requires a good to excellent credit score to be eligible, which means a FICO score of at least 670.Who is eligible for the Marriott Bonvoy Bold? You're also not eligible if you already have a Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card, Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card, or Marriott Bonvoy® Premier credit card (not available to new applicants) open, or earned the welcome bonus from one in the past 24 months.
A sign advertising E15, a gasoline with 15 percent of ethanol, is seen at a gas station in Clive, Iowa, United States, May 17, 2015. The government and labor unions reached a deal last Thursday that averted a railway shutdown, possibly supporting a rebound in ethanol output for the current week. But a near-term recovery may be capped by sagging U.S. gasoline demand and poor corn crop prospects. Some analysts have questioned these figures, based on recent traffic trends that might suggest better fuel demand, though high prices have pained consumers for much of this year. A subpar U.S. corn crop could also disrupt the ethanol industry, especially if harvest results are worse than expected.

The average cost of gas in the U.S. inched up by a penny Wednesday, ending a 98-consecutive-day streak of declining prices, AAA.com said. “But there are big factors tugging on global oil prices — war, COVID, economic recession, and hurricane season. U.S. gas prices are largely determined by global oil prices. Last week, the price of U.S. benchmark West Texas Intermediate crude oil climbed above $88 a barrel for the first time since August. It has since come back down in price, suggesting further declines in U.S. pump prices could be in the offing.
REUTERS/Nick OxfordSept 21 (Reuters) - U.S. natural gas futures jumped about 4% to a near one-week high on Wednesday, on forecasts for stronger U.S. gas demand this week than previously expected and renewed worries about a possible U.S. rail strike. A rail strike could boost demand for gas by threatening coal supplies to power plants. Gas prices rose despite expectations gas demand would decline next month when the Cove Point liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Maryland shuts for a couple weeks of maintenance in October. Global gas prices have soared due to supply disruptions and sanctions linked to Russia's Feb. 24 invasion of Ukraine. With the coming of cooler autumn weather, Refinitiv projected average U.S. gas demand, including exports, would slip from 92.3 bcfd this week to 89.8 bcfd next week.
Fed policymakers expect it to rise to 4.4% by the end of next year, projections released Wednesday show. The availability of nearly two job openings for every job seeker reflects that, and Fed policymakers hope businesses will respond to interest rate hikes mostly by trimming hiring rather than with outright layoffs. Fed policymakers see inflation, now at 6.3% by their preferred measure, falling to 2.8% by the end of next year, projections released on Wednesday show. But in general, banks are slow to pass on the Fed's rate increases to savers and do so at levels typically far below the central bank's policy rate and, currently, inflation. With the rise in rates, monthly mortgage payments on a median-priced existing home have jumped nearly 60% to $1,940 this year.

Natural gas flares off at a production facility owned by Exxon near Carlsbad, New Mexico, U.S. February 11, 2019. REUTERS/Nick OxfordLONDON, Sept 16 (Reuters) - U.S. shale drillers are struggling to meet strong demand for gas from domestic generators as well as customers in Europe and Asia scrambling for replacement supplies following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. U.S. generators are burning record volumes of gas because coal-fired units have been retired and drought has limited hydroelectric output in the western states. At the same time, exports are running at record rates as new LNG liquefaction terminals meet soaring demand from importers in Europe and Asia. Even so, hedge funds and other money managers have become progressively less bullish and even slightly bearish on gas prices since April.
Putin is likely humiliated as Russia's military losses mount in Ukraine, a Russia expert told Insider. Putin's personal vendetta against Ukraine and his misplaced assuredness in Russia's military supremacy likely blinded him to the Western world's willingness to come to Ukraine's aid. "He misjudged the willingness of western governments and firms to take a hit to punish Russia, and certainly the willingness of Europe to imperil their supply of gas." The US, too, has had to make sacrifices as a result of Russia's war in Ukraine. Russia's mounting military losses in conjunction with the Western world's rallying behind Ukraine is a worst-case scenario for Putin.

When the government decides to start buying, oil prices could get some nice support, which would be good for our energy holdings. When a player like the U.S. government goes from supplier to buyer, its a pretty positive sign for those that benefit from higher oil prices. Remember, the variable part of the dividend payments that all three companies pay are tied directly to free cash flow generation. Coterra's free cash flow breakeven is about $40 per barrel as of its second quarter results. In July 2021, U.S. oil prices fell below $70 after OPEC said it would increase output as Covid fears weighed on global demand.
Europe can shrug off Putin’s Chinese gas Plan B

LONDON, Sept 14 (Reuters Breakingviews) - Selling more gas to China is one of Vladimir Putin’s oldest pet projects. A pivot of Russia’s gas trade towards China may well happen over time. But for the next few years, Moscow won’t have the pipelines, the ships, or even the gas to make Putin’s dream come true. Register now for FREE unlimited access to Reuters.com RegisterChina is also taking some of Russia’s liquefied natural gas, from Russia’s eastern fields. Right now, European member states seem to be cooling on enforcing a cap on Russian gas prices.
That has led to sharp rises in prices for new and used cars — if there are any left on the lot — and to scalpers snatching’ up the latest video game consoles to resell at inflated prices. Many industries, including oil refineries, car factories and airlines, cut staff and production in 2020 at the outset of the Covid-19 pandemic, leaving them understaffed when demand for travel roared back. Gas prices only started falling in the summer, after a prolonged rise at the start of the year. And rising natural gas prices have led to spikes in the cost of electricity, sending energy bills soaring in some cities. The federal government has taken steps to combat rising prices.

Gas prices have now declined for 79 consecutive days amid falling global oil prices, sending the national average price per gallon to its lowest level since March. Data from AAA show the national average gas price now sits at $3.81 per gallon. Western states tend to have higher gas taxes, and are located further away from the fuel processing hubs in Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana. Northeast states are also seeing higher prices, as they experience tight supplies of gasoline. He predicted U.S. gas prices are likely to fall to $3.70 by the middle of September, and as low as $3.50 by Halloween, if not sooner.
