Sadly, “The Witcher: Blood Origin,” Netflix’s new spinoff, is a disappointment. Not that the original “Witcher” wholly depended on Cavill as its titular lead. “Blood Origin” is the first live-action spinoff, a prequel deep-dive that chronicles how witchers came to be. Unfortunately, “Blood Origin” doesn’t do much with its excellent pieces. “Blood Origin” just feels like a side quest, something that’s only worthwhile for superfans.

The Bank of England unveiled its first bank notes featuring King Charles III on Tuesday, which will enter into circulation from the middle of 2024 to gradually replace those featuring his mother Queen Elizabeth II. Charles became king in September following the queen's death after 70 years on the throne. The new five, 10, 20 and 50 pound polymer bank notes feature a portrait of Charles on the front, as well as a cameo of him in the bank notes’ see-through security window, but are otherwise unchanged from their current designs. The queen first appeared on BoE bank notes in 1960, in contrast to British coins which have long featured images of the country’s rulers. Britain’s Royal Mint began issuing the first coins featuring Charles’s profile into general circulation on Dec. 8.

"It's like living through a soap opera where everybody else views you as entertainment," Harry said in one of the final episodes released on Thursday. "It looked cold, but it also felt cold," Harry said of his family's feelings towards him at their last official engagement. "The departure of Meghan and Harry from royal ranks has been far more damaging to the monarchy than the coverage that vilifies them understands or accepts," she told Reuters. But it bounced back to become more popular than ever, with Harry and his brother William to the fore. "Personally, I don't think that it will do lasting damage to the monarchy," royal biographer Claudia Joseph said of the Netflix (NFLX.O) documentary.
