LONDON, Nov 12 (Reuters) - Manchester City moved a point clear at the top of the Premier League on Sunday after a thrilling 4-4 draw at Chelsea with Erling Haaland scoring twice only for former City man Cole Palmer to level the match from the penalty spot in added time. It was the first time Chelsea had scored against Manchester City since they beat them in the 2021 Champions League final. It was the 21-year-old’s fourth Chelsea penalty in four attempts. "Very strange the first time I have played against City," Palmer told Sky Sports. The result moved City clear of Liverpool with 28 points from 12 games.

Political figures, including Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne and former presidents Francois Hollande and Nicolas Sarkozy, headed the march, holding a banner with the slogan "For the Republic, against antisemitism". They led several renditions of the French national anthem. Left-wing lawmakers have joined pro-Palestinian protests in recent weeks, including a march in Paris on Saturday. Protests against antisemitism also took place in other French cities on Sunday, including in Marseille where some 7,000 people turned out according to a police estimate. Elsewhere in Europe, concern is running high over antisemitism and other forms of extremism being whipped up.

Nicolas Cage Photo: A24Whether sexy, sinister or surreal, dreams are . In “Dream Scenario,” fascination and boredom grapple for the upper hand in the tale of a college biology professor who is both unusually dull and yet nationally known. As played by Nicolas Cage in an amusing hangdog performance, the dull Boston academic Paul Matthews discovers that he’s popping up in his daughter’s dreams, as a character who just stands around while scary things happen. Like Byron, he becomes famous overnight, but unlike Byron, he has no talent. There isn’t anything special about him, except that he happens to be on everyone’s mind at the same time.

Before Ezekiel Oliver Smith and Michael Nicolas Briones Santos attended the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles in April 2018, Mr. Smith enjoyed his time alone more than his time on dates. When he was alone, he never felt lonely, and he thought that maybe he was happiest when he was single. Mr. Santos, on the other hand, was focused on his career. He told himself that he would never find his true love, and he was OK with that. Mr. Santos, 44, found out that he could indeed “have it all.” And Mr. Smith, 35, found someone he enjoyed spending time with more than he enjoyed spending time alone.

Shake Shack this week announced that it will give out free chicken sandwiches if a player celebrates scoring a touchdown by doing the chicken dance. However, unlike other recent fast food giveaways, there's no language in the terms and conditions limiting you to one free Chicken Shack during the promotional period. To activate the deal, you can create your order via a kiosk at a Shake Shack location or using the restaurant's app. You'll need to add the chicken sandwich to your order before checkout in order for the deal to be applied. Shake Shack just last month introduced a hot chicken version of its classic sandwich, topped with hot peppers as well as a cherry pepper slaw.

Washington in mid-October issued a general license lifting through April sanctions on the country's oil production and exports. POLICY SHIFTThe U.S. imposed sanctions on Venezuela's oil industry to try to oust President Nicolas Maduro, whose 2018 re-election it considers a sham. In the last three weeks, PDVSA has signed new term deals to sell products, including fuel oil and asphalt cement with little known firms. LINING UPShortly after sanctions were eased last month, Trafigura chartered a vessel to pick up a fuel oil cargo at a Venezuelan port. The firm that won the offer is Romania-registered Ke Lo Ke Mgmt, PDVSA documents seen by Reuters showed.

The relaxed sanctions could lead to $1.4 billion in additional income for Venezuela over the next six months, analyst firm Sintesis Financiera said in a report. The additional oil income is expected to arrive gradually, partly though the redirection of exports. "The contribution will go to social spending and services." The government has traditionally increased social spending, public sector salaries, food distribution and housing construction projects ahead of elections, though national income has been limited over the last five years because of the sanctions and problems at PDVSA. Public spending has fallen to 15% of gross domestic product from 40% a decade ago, according to economic analysts.

Before the mayhem of Monday's home defeat against Chelsea, Wolves away would have been viewed as another opportunity for Tottenham to underline their top-four credentials. But that 4-1 reverse, Postecoglou's first setback in the Premier League, could cost the north London club more than a return to top spot and the loss of three points. A tumultuous derby ended with Tottenham having only four of their starting line-up left on the pitch. A home game against City will perhaps say a lot more about whether or not Chelsea have turned a corner. Former midfielder Paul Scholes believes Ten Hag still has some credit left in the bank after last season when United finished third in the Premier League and won the League Cup.

CNN —Five goals, as many overturned or disallowed, two red cards, and 21 minutes of stoppage time: those are just some of the numbers behind what was a wild and chaotic English Premier League game between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea. 2 Senate Republican John Thune told reporters that Johnson's plan has "a lot" of support among Republicans in the Senate, adding: "It'd be strong." The Republican-controlled House passed HR-2 in May, but the bill has gone nowhere in the Democratic-led Senate. Among other things, the Senate Republican proposal would resume construction of a border wall -- former President Donald Trump's signature goal -- in addition to deeming large numbers of migrants ineligible for asylum. Republican border provisions face broad opposition from Democrats in Congress and from President Joe Biden. He told reporters that a bill linking Ukraine aid to border security would come soon.

Nicolas Cage is not afraid to go big. “It’s not going to be the same old, same old.”But at some point, that bigness is exactly what audiences came to predict from him. Cage could sense that shift but felt powerless to stop it: How should a star react when the public’s changing perception starts to turn like a tidal wave?
