The estimate projects U.S. shoppers will spend $12 billion-$12.4 billion on Cyber Monday, the biggest U.S. online shopping day. At the top end, this would represent an 9.7% increase compared to the $11.3 billion spent on Cyber Monday last year. Walmart, eager to capture market share, slashed prices on Sunday night, joining the trend of retailers' early discounts on major shopping days. Home Depot co-founder and billionaire Ken Langone plans to meet with former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley next week in New York, as he considers backing her in the Republican presidential primary. "The only person I see who can give [Donald] Trump a run for his money is Nikki Haley," Langone told CNBC in an interview Monday, referring to the former president and current Republican frontrunner. Before Langone would commit to hosting his own fundraiser for Haley, however, he said he wanted to meet with her in person. Earlier this month, Haley said that if the South Carolina state legislature had passed a six-week abortion ban while she was governor, she would have signed it.

As Nikki Haley has risen in polls, so has her viability among top political donors, per The Times. Some donors are describing Haley's candidacy as one that's creating enthusiasm among party leaders. GOP donor Eric Levine told The Times that Trump's air of inevitability has "peeled away completely." I would certainly like her over Trump," Langone, who's donated to Haley's campaign, told the newspaper. "His aura of invincibility is just peeled away completely," Levine said, pointing to Haley's polling surge among GOP voters.
