Would you feel more prepared for job interviews if you knew which questions were going to be asked? John Lewis, a 160-year-old retail giant based in the U.K. with 80,000 employees, has revealed interview questions for job candidates on its website in advance to make the hiring process more equitable. Bullett explained that it will give candidates the opportunity to prepare and "confidently demonstrate what they can do." People are divided on whether this development is beneficial because there isn't a standardized process for interviews, Khyati Sundaram, CEO of recruitment platform Applied, told CNBC Make It. But she warned that revealing job interview questions in advance isn't a "silver bullet" and there are some caveats.

Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange who was convicted of fraud and conspiracy, was transferred out of a Brooklyn detention center on Wednesday morning, his spokesman said. Before the transfer, Mr. Bankman-Fried, 32, told people close to him that he expected to be moved to a federal correctional facility in Mendota, Calif., a person with knowledge of the matter said. A representative for the Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on Mr. Bankman-Fried, citing “privacy, safety and security reasons.” A spokesman for the prosecutors who oversaw Mr. Bankman-Fried’s case did not immediately respond to a request for comment. In a court filing on Wednesday afternoon, Lewis A. Kaplan, the judge overseeing his case, said the court “recommends” that the Bureau of Prisons keep Mr. Bankman-Fried at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Mr. Bankman-Fried had asked to remain there while he worked on an appeal challenging his conviction.

The lunar standstill is when the northernmost and southernmost moonrise and moonset are farthest apart. Stonehenge's station stones are thought by some to be aligned with the lunar standstill. And recognizing that very notion is what makes Indonesian coffee chain Kopi Kenangan different from many of its competitors. Which is why this cup of Kopi Kenangan coffee here in Singapore may taste different from a cup in Indonesia. Edward Tirtanata: Before I started Kopi Kenangan, I started this tea chain called Lewis and Carroll. And that is why our first menu is called Kopi Kenangan Mantan, which directly translates into, memory of my ex-girlfriend coffee. Within the span of seven years, Kopi Kenangan went from a local Indonesian coffee stall to a venture-backed unicorn coffee company. "Instead of focusing on the sofa, or fast Wi-Fi, we're going to focus on a good, high quality cup of coffee," Tirtanata said. This decision helped Kopi Kenangan scale to over 200 locations and 10 cities within the first two years of operations. Taking a data-driven hyperlocal approach means that a Kopi Kenangan latte in Singapore will taste different from a latte in Indonesia. This helped Kopi Kenangan more than triple its store count during the pandemic.

On a sun-soaked Sunday at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp managed Liverpool for the last time and salty tears filled eyes; from the man himself to his players and fans. There were many trophies, arguably there should have been more – two Champions League finals lost, a Europa League final lost, the Premier League lost by a point twice. Fans greet Liverpool's manager Jurgen Klopp ahead the English Premier League soccer match between Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers. It will arguably take Liverpool fans, and even the Premier League, longer to get used to a post-Klopp era. The Klopp era will not be replicated, Liverpool fans know that, which is why he was given such a special farewell.

CNN —Once the immediate shock and joy at becoming the undisputed heavyweight world champion had subsided, Oleksandr Usyk’s thoughts turned to his late father who passed away in 2012. As the Ukrainian recalled the last time he dreamt about his father in the press conference after defeating Tyson Fury, his words faltered and he grew tearful. Usyk, 37, became the first undisputed heavyweight champion in the four-belt era after defeating Fury in a split decision in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday. He is the first undisputed champion since Lennox Lewis 25 years ago, the Briton winning all three belts available at that time. Fury echoed his opponent saying in his press conference that he didn’t want to think about another fight just yet.

CNN —Oleksandr Usyk scored a razor-thin split decision over Tyson Fury to become undisputed heavyweight boxing world champion in a thrilling contest at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh in the early hours of Sunday morning. The 37-year-old Ukrainian is the first boxer to hold all four major heavyweight belts at the same time and the first undisputed champ since the end of Lennox Lewis’ reign in April 2000. Oleksandr Usyk holds a Ukrainian flag as he celebrates with the Undisputed Heavyweight title belt following his victory over Tyson Fury on May 18, 2024. The previously undefeated Briton managed to hang on until the bell but he struggled through the final three rounds of the fight as Usyk chased him down to edge him out on the judges’ scorecards. … It’s a great time, it’s a great day,” a tearful Usyk said in a post-fight interview in the ring, adding that he would grant Fury an immediate rematch.

A court in Paris ruled on Tuesday that the film director Roman Polanski did not defame Charlotte Lewis, a British actress who has accused him of raping her, by asserting in a 2019 interview that she was a liar. Delphine Meillet, one of Mr. Polanski’s lawyers, told reporters after the ruling that it was “an extremely important day for the rights” of the director, who is 90. “The question the court was addressing was whether you can defend yourself publicly when you are publicly accused,” Ms. Meillet said. “The answer is yes.”Ms. Lewis, 56, has accused Mr. Polanski of raping her four decades ago, when she was 16, during a casting session at his home in Paris.
