That's because lower rates will slow the migration of money that's happened over the past two years as customers shifted cash out of checking accounts and into higher-yielding options like CDs and money market funds. When the Federal Reserve cut its benchmark rate by half a percentage point last month, it signaled a turning point in its stewardship of the economy and telegraphed its intention to cut rates by another two full percentage points, according to the central bank's projections, boosting prospects for banks. The bank is expected to report $4.01 per share in earnings, a 7.4% drop from the year-earlier period.

Sean "Diddy" Combs wants to go to trial on sex trafficking charges next spring, the embattled hip-hop mogul's lawyers informed a judge Wednesday. "Mr. Combs continues to assert his right to a speedy trial and intends to request a trial date in April or May 2025, and as consistent with the Court’s trial schedule," the jailed rapper's lawyers wrote. It should put a damper on just how much we should expect the next president to accomplish, especially if the divide is between the House and the White House. Still, the company has sought to offer discounted tickets and hotel stays for those who opt to visit Disneyland during off-peak periods. Much like the airline, hotel and even concert entertainment industries, Disney's theme parks operate on a demand-based pricing model. But to handle demand, Disney has a tiered ticket system. Tier 0 is the lowest demand, the $104 base ticket price, while Tier 6 is the highest demand and will see an increase of $12 to $206 per ticket. Disney's online ticketing website for those theme parks — Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Epcot — already reflects pricing increases for 2025, which were reported back in February.
