CNN —Due to set sail from Istanbul on November 1, the three-year cruise was meant to be a smooth sail across the globe and into nomadic living for its inhabitants. But with less than two weeks to go before the scheduled departure date, Life at Sea cruises is navigating choppy waters – as it still doesn’t have a ship. Two weeks ago, when asked whether the sale – which had been slated for late September – had gone through, it gave the same response. Meanwhile, some passengers are becoming increasingly concerned about the delays – and what they see as a lack of transparency from Life at Sea cruises.

But this doesn't mean you have to give up on the solo cruise vacation of your dreams. More cruise lines are adding single-person cabins to their new shipsSome of Norwegian Cruise Line's ships have a lounge for solo travelers. Life at Sea Cruises has delayed its three-year around-the-world cruise. Life at Sea Cruises has faced several shake-ups over the last few months. Buyers were told Life at Sea will help "make changes to [travelers] accommodations and itinerary at Miray's expense." Broken down, this per-day cost is cheaper than Azamara's recently announced 2026 world cruise . And unlike a typical world cruise, the vessel will be sailing for much longer than just a few months.

Average prices jumped 11% in the quarter ended Sept. 9, while organic volume slipped 2.5%. Adjusted profit of $2.25 per share topped expectations of $2.15, according to LSEG data. As vacationers emerge into a post-pandemic travel world, cruises have made a spectacular comeback — and ticket prices are surging. Cruise operators such as Carnival and Royal Caribbean Cruises are setting some ticket prices higher than pre-pandemic levels and are indicating they may raise them further, even as they post pre-Covid profits. Compared to 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic decimated the cruising industry, December ticket prices are up 43%. The company's booking volumes likewise hit an all-time high, pushing cruise occupancy and revenue beyond 2019 levels, he said. Royal Caribbean CEO Jason Liberty echoed the sentiment, saying on that company's post-earnings call in July that his company is also considering increasing prices to meet the surge in demand.

Toys R Us, which went bankrupt years ago, will open up to 24 stores in the US. It was the first big-box toy store ever created, according to History — and a far cry from other toy stores at the time. Using their advertisements, celebrity collaborations, and their mascot Geoffrey the Giraffe, Toys R Us sold thousands of toys like Mr. Its jingle, "I don't want to grow up, I'm a Toys R Us kid. There's a million toys at Toys R Us that I can play with," was the soundtrack for kids from the 1980s to the early 2000s.

In the past year, clothing retailers have sought to clear excess stock that had piled up due to a shift in consumer demand to essentials from discretionary items like clothing. But with fourth-quarter temperatures expected to start off warm, according to weather tracking firm Weather Trends International, stores carrying winter styles and gear could find themselves loaded with inventory at the end of the season. European company Pepco Group (PCOP.WA) also noted that the landing of its autumn and winter clothing inventory had coincided with persistent record-warm weather in its core Central and Eastern European markets. In the United States, temperatures could rise by 2 to 12 degrees Fahrenheit on average in the October-December period compared with last year, according to Weather Trends International. Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF.N) also said there was strong demand for "seasonless products" in the second quarter, particularly in the men's category, as customers picked out year-round clothing items and styles.

The Carnival cruise ship Sunrise is seen docked at Miami Port, in Miami, Florida, U.S., June 18, 2022. Unlike other major cruise operators, Carnival does not hedge against volatility in oil prices. Cruise operators, therefore, have a lot of room to hike prices and still stay cheaper than land vacations. Carnival posted third-quarter profit of $1.07 billion, or 79 cents per share, compared with a loss of $770 million, or 65 cents per share, a year earlier. Carnival now expects annual loss per share between 12 cents and 4 cents, compared with its previous forecast for a loss between 20 cents and 8 cents.

Cruise travel insurance can help cover emergency costs as well, which is why I have an annual travel insurance policy. For Caribbean cruises in particular, this part is easy since almost all spots in and around cruise ports accept US dollars. Drinks (if you drink a lot)I drink a lot on cruises, and I'm not just talking about cocktails and beer. This is why I always have a drink package when I cruise, which is easy since I normally cruise with MSC Cruises. REUTERS/Octavio Jones Acquire Licensing RightsSept 20 (Reuters) - Walt Disney's (DIS.N) $60 billion spending plan on parks and cruises to stay ahead of growing competition has worried some Wall Street analysts with its long road to payoff. "Expanding parks and cruises tends to be a multi year undertaking as a result of which, revenue and margin acceleration lags the investment cycle," Barclays analysts said. The bump in parks spending also follows a quiet period for the business during the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, when the spread of COVID-19 forced park closures and hit attendance. That led Needham analysts to warn Disney could be basing its decision on "unsustainable and elevated profit margins."
