All of the passengers had Brazilian documents, airline officials said, though it’s not yet clear if any had dual citizenship. CNN —Ukrainian forces are pushing further into the Kursk region of Russia, in a cross-border incursion that surprised even American officials, multiple US and Ukrainian officials tell CNN. CNN —At least 30 people were killed and dozens injured after Israeli airstrikes hit two schools in the Al-Nasr neighborhood in Gaza, according to the Palestinian Civil Defense. He had a full schedule of public appearances and meetings before he was assassinated, according to Iranian state media press reports. Haniyeh was first pictured on Tuesday, before the inauguration, meeting with Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Afterwards, Iranian state media published images of Haniyeh meeting with Iran’s new President Masoud Pezeshkian.

☆ ‘I’m really desperate now’: Temu sellers revolt against fines and withheld pay

Hundreds of them staged a demonstration this week at an office affiliated with Temu in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou. They were protesting what they called “unjust” fines levied by the company or withheld payment on goods already sold, among other complaints. Temu operates as an online store, carrying cut-price merchandise from self-employed sellers. Four sellers interviewed by CNN said the fines ranged from one to five times the wholesale price of the product. CNN has seen screenshots of the seller’s Temu account showing a total of just under two million yuan was ineligible for withdrawal.

CNN —Britney Spears’ story is headed to the big screen. Universal has landed the rights to Spears’ bestselling memoir, “The Woman in Me,” which is being developed as a biopic of the pop star’s life, CNN has confirmed with the studio. Spears’ book was published nearly two years after she was released from her 13-year conservatorship in 2021. Britney Spears’ book “The Woman in Me” at a Barnes & Noble store in New York, 2023. The last major studio film for Spears was “Crossroads” in 2002 – a coming-of-age fan-favorite that starred Spears alongside Zoe Saldana and Taryn Manning.
