Gold prices were flat on Wednesday as investors awaited minutes of the Federal Reserve's last policy meeting for fresh cues on when the U.S. central bank will start cutting interest rates. Gold prices rose more than 1% to a near two-week high on Wednesday, driven by increased bets for a September interest rate cut by the Federal Reserve after recent U.S. data suggested that the labor market was softening. "Bulls are trying to get ahead of what many believe will finally be a weak payrolls report on Friday," he added. [USD/The market now sees a 68% chance of the Fed cutting interest rates in September as well as another cut in December. NYSEIn 2018, British regulators sanctioned the UK arm of online gambling giant Flutter after it failed to catch an astonishing anomaly. The United States is Flutter's largest and fastest-growing market in terms of revenue. Both online sports betting and online casinos have been legal and regulated far longer in Britain than in the United States. But in the United States, Flutter doesn't place such limits on the age group. Around a decade ago, British politicians became concerned about a rise in gambling-linked fraud and suicides involving online VIP customers.

President Biden should do the same,” Doggett said in his statement Tuesday. “There’s a large and increasing group of House Democrats concerned about the president’s candidacy, representing a broad swath of the caucus,” another House Democratic lawmaker told CNN on condition of anonymity to speak candidly. They have held off going to Biden directly, hoping he would make the decision himself, but patience is wearing thin, multiple Democrats told CNN, amid signs that Biden has taken no steps to seriously consider the mounting concerns. For the ATRFX fund, this means betting on currencies, equities, commodities, and bonds, but not in a direct way. Instead, it employs everything from arbitrage strategies, riding out momentum and interest rates, or sitting on the sidelines when it's choppy. Over the last couple of years, higher interest rates have brought in some good yields. Related storiesOne step further is to arbitrage interest rates across currencies. Investors can do this by identifying national currencies with low interest rates, borrowing in that currency, and then lending in the currencies with higher interest rates.

The future of ESPN's sports-betting app is now in question amid mounting losses and an activist investor push at partner Penn Entertainment that has prompted sale rumors. The app, ESPN Bet, made early strides in the first few months, gaining ground through promotions and marketing that leveraged ESPN's popular personalities. As of March, ESPN Bet had captured about 4% of the online-sports-betting market by gross gaming revenue, per Bank of America's analysis, though its share has been higher in states like Pennsylvania. "Testers liked ESPN Bet's UX and minty aesthetic but felt the app lacked depth (particularly more extensive features)," EKG wrote in May. "Product is one thing, and I would say having expertise in how to target users effectively to lower your acquisition costs and your retention costs" is key for the ESPN Bet app to compete, Wasiolek said.

Five weeks ago, the British prime minister bet the house on his belief that a summer election might offer his Conservative Party a better chance of holding onto power than waiting until the fall. Calling a snap election served as Mr. Sunak’s last roll of the dice. Reviewing data from the week before Mr. Sunak’s announcement, bookmakers noticed a spike in bets being placed on the election date. The amounts being staked were small — totaling just a few thousand pounds — but the sudden frenzy of activity was enough to warrant further investigation. It also encapsulates how some parts of the electorate perceive the party that has governed Britain for 14 years.

How ESPN Bet can make a comebackPenn could still be successful if it improves its product and spends less money on acquiring new customers, the analysts said. Jonas said if Boyd acquires Penn, it would be a sizable shift in strategy for their management, team, and board.

He’s going to be a killer rebounder, monster screener and will consistently establish his position even against some of the stronger NBA players. I’m done doubting Edey, even as an NBA player. As an enormous ballhandler with serious touch and incredible vision as a passer, Topić is clearly an NBA player, even if it doesn’t all translate. Shannon is an elite athlete, but the NBA game requires more nuance, especially if he continues to be an inconsistent shooter. However, I also think he’s more than just a floor spacer on offense in spot-up situations and potentially as an off-ball scorer.

And at Delta and other airlines, many of the perks for luxury flyers come through lounges.

The dollar was steady on Monday as traders looked ahead to fresh clues on the U.S. inflation path that will likely influence interest rates, while talk from Japanese authorities did little to temper the yen's decline back the round number of 160. The yen weakened to 159.94 per dollar in early trade on Monday, its lowest since April 29, when the yen touched a 34-year low of 160.245 leading to Japanese authorities spending some 9.8 trillion yen to support the currency.
