Carlotta Montanari started her horse training company, Four Legs on Set, three years ago. So I formed my horse training company for Hollywood productions, Four Legs on Set, almost three years ago. I had no idea my horse training company would become such a great success. If we're having a photo shoot, the production has to be mindful that horses need to shift their balance, and walk and move. Horse training in Hollywood requires a strong love of horses, because it's not an instant cash-inOwning production horses is a big decision and responsibility.
John Leguizamo is an Emmy and Tony award-winning actor, and he's calling out Hollywood. In an open letter to Hollywood, he says it's way past time that Latinos have more lead roles. In an "Open Letter to Hollywood" published in the LA Times, Leguizamo said the time for more Latino representation in film, TV, and plays is way past overdue. Leguizamo argued that the absence of Latinos onscreen isn't even reflective of the city in which Hollywood resides. Latino representation also means including Latinos of all hues, since "more often than not," the Latinos who are cast in major roles are "white-passing."

Jeremy Strong is the award-winning actor who plays Kendall Roy in HBO's 'Succession.' In an interview with The Times, Strong opened up about why he never gave up on acting. Now at age 43, Strong has had a successful turn as Kendall Roy on "Succession," earning him an Emmy — but his success was hard-won. In a recent interview with The Times, Strong said that in 2010, he was struggling to find work in LA. "I'd be lying if I said it wasn't difficult to see people I was close to getting work," Strong told The Times.
A weaker dollar boosts oil demand as it makes the commodity cheaper for those holding other currencies. While demand concerns weighed on the market, supply is still expected to be tight, with Europe's upcoming embargoes on Russian oil starting and a slide in U.S. crude stockpiles. "The spectre of further rate hikes dimmed hopes of a pick-up in demand," ANZ Research analysts said in a note. ANZ analysts pointed to signs of weaker demand in Europe and the United States with people driving less and Amazon warning of weaker sales, which could dampen demand for distillate. The cut was in line with trade sources' forecasts, which were based on a weaker outlook for Chinese demand.

I used to joke and say I'm a beauty influencer. It took a while for me to realize that my success wasn't a fluke and that I wasn't a one hit wonder. Now that I've proven myself in business, I'm actually ready to switch gears. As a mother, I think accountability is what I'm talking about, because these toxic messages are being sent to my daughter. I may not always know what the hell I'm talking about, but we're going to figure it out together.
Sevastopol is vital to Russian power-projection in the Black Sea, the Mediterranean, and beyond. (The frigate, Admiral Makarov, became the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet upon the sinking of the cruiser Moskva). Moreover, Ukraine's access to Western anti-ship missiles has already made the Black Sea inhospitable for Russian ships. Russia's hold on the Black Sea slipsRussian President Vladimir Putin at a military parade in Sevastopol on May 9, 2014. In the longer-term, Russia's centuries-long grip on the Black Sea may well be slipping away, with potentially huge implications for Russia's role on the international stage.
Courtesy of Cerise CastleThe first episode I wrote for season two of "Abbott" was episode four, "Principal's Office," which aired in October. We always have a lot of fun in the writers room. At the same time, other writers get at least a joke or a substantial moment in another writer's episode. Writers are on set during filming to help problem solveThe job of a writer on set is really to problem solve. It's come up in the "Abbott" writers' room occasionally when we're casting and someone will say, "Hey, what about this person?"
Ukraine and Russia together account for nearly a third of global wheat exports, according to Gro Intelligence, an agricultural data firm. Russia suspended its participation in the grain deal indefinitely on Saturday, after what it claimed was a drone attack by Ukrainian armed forces on its Black Sea fleet in the Crimean city of Sevastopol. After reaching a record high in March, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization’s global food price index has declined for seven months in a row. Russia’s decision to suspend its participation “is adding immense volatility to global grain prices,” said Tracey Allen, an agricultural commodities strategist at JPMorgan Chase. Twelve vessels left Ukraine’s Black Sea ports on Monday, Ukraine’s Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov said on Twitter.
Shares of Meta plunged 23% in premarket trading Thursday as investors and analysts digested the company's third-quarter earnings miss and a weak fourth-quarter outlook. The parent company of Facebook reported quarterly revenue of $27.7 billion Wednesday, a decline of more than 4% year over year and its second straight quarterly decline. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg reiterated his commitment to spending billions of dollars developing the metaverse. That’s why it’s so surprising that the US economy is expected to show robust growth in Thursday’s third-quarter GDP report. Economists warn that the report could be a one-hit-wonder that overstates momentum in an economy that is actually slowing. “There is more braking power being inflicted on the US economy than will be at all apparent in the third-quarter GDP report,” wrote Kelly. Central bank officials are going to be looking at underlying metrics in the report, and will likely ignore headline numbers, said Patterson. The bottom line: The rejiggering of trade balances often falsely inflates economic growth calculations ahead of a recession.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Police believe the shooting rampage that left five dead in North Carolina’s capital city last week began when the 15-year-old suspect shot his older brother, according to a report released Thursday. Police believe the teen shot Marcille Lynn Gardner, who was found wounded in the driveway, then fired at Nicole Connors, 52, who lived in the house.

After a successful run on the show, he couldn't land another writers room job for over two years. It was my first TV writing job. A few years later, I got my first job on "The Office" through NBC's diversity program. Ryan Koh started working again fairly quickly as well. It was a race thing, for sureLooking back, I think that part of why I couldn't get another TV writing job after "The Office" was because the writers rooms were smaller.
