Other NATO allies have donated 10 Multiple Launch Rocket Systems, according to the State Department. Depending on the location and strength of the jamming, a rocket can still launch and result in a successful strike with significant damage. Widespread Russian jamming can have drawbacks for their own forces as well, impacting their ability to communicate and operate. For nearly a year, the HIMARS system has been the longest-range rocket system Ukraine has, allowing troops to fire up to six rockets in quick succession at Russian positions as far as 50 miles away. “Jamming is like the weather or the terrain, it’s something that happens that you have to deal with,” the official said.

NEW YORK, May 2 (Reuters) - The National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) has sounded the alarm about the use of sports betting apps, warning agents that the mobile gambling platforms can track their clients' activity, leading to stiff penalties. "We have confirmed that some states monitor/audit FanDuel and the other gambling apps to ensure that the companies are in compliance with state law," the NFLPA said in a memo on Monday seen by Reuters. It was as part of that monitoring that the NFL learned of the players using the apps at work in violation of NFL rules," it said. In March, Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley was reinstated after serving one year of an indefinite suspension for violating NFL rules on gambling. "At no time should players open or use any mobile gambling app while at work."

That made operations with banks abroad particularly challenging as many bank cards stopped working overseas and Russia was disconnected from global payment systems. The digital bank will enable customers to carry out everyday financial transactions such as money transfers, some bill payments and mobile phone top-ups, within the VKontakte app. VTB, which had launched banking services through Telegram in January, said it was prepared to shut down its bank on Telegram once Roskomnadzor had come to a final decision. "As of today, there has been no such decision, so the bank in Telegram works, although we have stopped actively promoting it."

Samsung is reportedly looking to replace Google Search with Microsoft's Bing as the default search engine on its phones. If Samsung follows through, Microsoft should pay whatever it takes to make it happen, analysts said. The fact that Samsung is even considering changing its default search engine presents a rare moment of weakness for Google, especially on smartphones. A vast majority of smartphones have Google set as their default search engine, Insider previously reported. Investing big to entrench Samsung as a partner now could pay dividends for Microsoft later, the experts said.

On Monday, Sega agreed to pay about 700 million euros in cash for Rovio Entertainment (ROVIO.HE), the maker of the “Angry Birds” franchise. The man accused of killing the tech executive Bob Lee on a secluded San Francisco street this month stabbed him three times with a kitchen knife, prosecutors said in court documents released on Friday. The accused assailant, Nima Momeni, 38, had argued with Mr. Lee about whether anything “inappropriate” had happened between Mr. Lee, 43, and Mr. Momeni’s younger sister, prosecutors said, describing details of the police investigation in a motion to hold Mr. Momeni without bail. During a brief court hearing on Friday morning, Mr. Momeni’s arraignment was put off until later this month. Prosecutors said that Mr. Momeni, a tech consultant and entrepreneur, stabbed Mr. Lee, who was instrumental in creating the mobile payment service Cash App, on April 4 with the four-inch blade of a kitchen knife, including once through the heart. He then threw the knife in a parking lot and raced away, leaving Mr. Lee, 43, “to slowly die,” the motion states.
