Washington CNN —President Joe Biden on Thursday will join Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, the only living two-term Democratic presidents, aiming to use their star power to woo big-pocketed donors as Biden tries to join their ranks. The fundraiser is being held off-camera, though pool reporters will be able to report on the three presidents’ remarks. The Biden campaign said ahead of the fundraiser it had raised more than $25 million – making it the most successful single political fundraiser ever in terms of dollars raised. The fundraiser on Thursday is expected to be just the beginning of Obama’s involvement in Biden’s campaign. He is expected to take a larger role in Biden’s campaign – including traveling to college campuses and crucial battleground stakes – closer to November.

The King’s audio message — which was played at the annual Royal Maundy service at Worcester Cathedral in England on Thursday — were his first public comments since Catherine revealed she was undergoing chemotherapy. Charles, who is also currently undergoing treatment for cancer, did not attend the service, leaving his wife, Queen Camilla, to hand out traditional Maundy gifts on his behalf. The King is, however, expected to attend church on Easter Sunday alongside his wife, marking his most significant public appearance since his diagnosis. It is an ancient ceremony that dates back to 600 A.D. and marks how Jesus washed the feet of disciples at the Last Supper.
