WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Monday rejected disbarred lawyer Michael Cohen’s last-ditch effort to revive a civil rights claim against his former boss Donald Trump. In a study from the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, nearly half of cancer patients and survivors reported being extraordinarily burdened by medical debt. Financial hardship caused by cancer can also contribute to "financial toxicity," wherein the cost of treatment forces individuals to make tradeoffs that impact their chances of survival. Not only does financial toxicity of cancer care affect the individual, it can also negatively impact their employer. Some may not be aware they're eligible for screening, and stigma and fear associated with cancer screening hinders some people from seeking care.
