CNN —Federal prosecutors in Manhattan filed another indictment against FTX co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried Monday, dropping another count against him. Prosecutors had previously indicated their plans to drop the one count of conspiracy to make unlawful campaign contributions against Bankman-Fried last month in a letter to the court. Prosecutors maintain that Bankman-Fried conducted an illegal campaign finance scheme in connection to the charges that are moving forward to trial. “The defendant’s use of customer deposits to conduct a political influence campaign was part of the wire fraud scheme charged in the original indictment. Bankman-Fried’s attorneys said they reserve the right to challenge evidence prosecutors may seek to use.

The outlet estimates that Thomas has accepted millions in trips he didn't report since joining the court. According to its latest story, Thomas accepted a Bahamas trip, a stay at a luxury Jamaica resort, and premium seats to games. According to ProPublica's report, Thomas has accepted at least 38 other premium vacations that he did not previously disclose. The sheer level of what Thomas has accepted is staggering, a former federal judge responsible for financial disclosures told the outlet.

I never thought I'd write this but … I miss the old Goldman Sachs. That was the voice of Goldman Sachs 2009 — the adamantine firm that managed to make its way through the crisis relatively unscathed. This sort of dry humor worked back then, but for today's Goldman Sachs, the joke just doesn't hit the same way. Van Praag — who was once dubbed "Goldman Sachs' Rococo PR prince" by The Observer — left the firm in 2012. It would be nice to see the old Goldman Sachs ferocity is still out there somewhere, even if it's not on Wall Street.
