A New York appeals court ruled Tuesday that Giuliani, who served as a personal lawyer to former President Donald Trump, be disbarred "effective immediately" over his efforts to boost Trump's baseless 2020 election-fraud claims.
Ted Goodman, a spokesperson for Giuliani, criticized the disbarment ruling in a statement to Politico and said Giuliani would appeal.

Giuliani filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last year in New York days after he was ordered by a federal jury to pay $148 million to two Georgia election workers he defamed.
