The ethnic Armenians of Karabakh, internationally recognised as part of Azerbaijan, say they will not live as part of Azerbaijan and that almost all of the 120,000 Armenians there will leave for Armenia. Grigoryan, a 69-year-old driver, said his Kochoghot village in what the Armenians know as the Martakert district of Karabakh was pummelled by Azerbaijan armed forces. Grigoryan and thousands of other Armenians made their way to the airport near the Karabakh capital, known as Stepanakert by Armenians and Khankendi by Azerbaijan, where some Russian peacekeepers are based. CNN —An unknown story by Truman Capote has been published for the first time, after it was discovered hiding in plain sight in a red notebook belonging to the acclaimed author. Capote, a famous American writer and novelist, was born in New Orleans in 1924 and died in 1984. “Then in a red notebook, there was a handwritten short story from Truman Capote. “The whole work of finding these unpublished works is something which I have to say is satisfying when it comes to fruition. But generally it’s something very, very frustrating, because you’ll find that you’re always coming up with nothing,” he told CNN.

CNN —The alligator that was rescued last week after being reported wandering in Central Florida with the top half of its jaw missing is now under the care of an Orlando alligator park, according to a news release. The trapper who brought the alligator to Gatorland believed the animal “was possibly injured by a boat propeller and survived,” the statement added. The alligator “had basically no chance of surviving in the wild with such a severe injury,” the park added. The alligator was rescued Thursday evening in Florida after it was seen with its upper jaw cut off at Wilson’s Landing Park in Sanford in late August, and photos of it circulated across social media. On Facebook, Gatorland is also asking for help in naming the alligator.

Second, rather than create a free marketplace of ideas, Musk uses X as a marketplace where you can pay to privilege your thoughts. Scott Fitzgerald, Arthur Krystal invokes Lytton Strachey’s advice to the successful biographer: Instead of the “direct method of a scrupulous narration,” the biographer must “attack his subject in unexpected places; he will fall upon the flank or the rear; he will shoot a sudden, revealing searchlight into obscure recesses, hitherto undivined.” The evocation of Strachey in connection with Fitzgerald is surprising since they seem an unlikely pair, but Mr. Krystal quotes him in order to distinguish “Some Unfinished Chaos: The Lives of F. Scott Fitzgerald” from the always-growing list of Fitzgerald biographies that began in 1951, with Arthur Mizener’s “The Far Side of Paradise.” In choosing the plural “Lives,” Mr. Krystal wants to open up his subject to multiple interpretations rather than opting for the “direct method” of settling on the singular explanatory one. His other epigraph is from Fitzgerald himself: “There never was a good biography of a good novelist. There couldn’t be. He’s too many people if he’s any good.”
