Tucked away in the cartouche, an oval-shaped ornament often found in tombs, he found a name of a very recognizable figure: Ramesses II. “The cartouche dates back to its first usage, and contains Ramesses II’s throne name, Usermaatra. Psusennes I reused this sarcophagus that once belonged to Merneptah, the son and successor of Ramesses II. Both sarcophagi would have been inside an even larger stone sarcophagus, the source of the granite fragment Payraudeau discovered. “This also tells us when pharaohs began using more than one stone sarcophagus,” Payraudeau added.

When Jordan Bardella, the leader of the far-right National Rally party, called on Macron to dissolve the French national parliament on Sunday night, it seemed like political posturing, riding high on his victory in European polls. Calling the far right’s bluffMacron will try to rally the right and left, urging their supporters to come together and vote against the far right, but there’s no knowing if it’ll pay off. The last time a French president dissolved the country’s lower house, the National Assembly, was in 1997. Chubb CEO Evan Greenberg told CNBC's Jim Cramer on Thursday that climate change is one factor that's driving the price of insurance. "Climate change has created tremendous volatility, and it continues to evolve," Greenberg said. "And the concentrations of values in areas where, where the climate – the impact of the climate – is greatest continues to increase." Known for insuring businesses and wealthy individuals, Chubb is also a major insurer of agriculture, Greenberg said. "And so, therefore, reflecting loss cost, when you think general inflation, when you think climate change, when you think litigation, that is driving the pricing of insurance."

In “Becoming Karl Lagerfeld” he is brooding, combative and ambitious, sure — but we are equally encouraged to root for him. Despite Dietrich’s protestations, the creators of “Becoming Karl Lagerfeld” seem to side with their muse. CNN —US Open champion Coco Gauff said tennis matches finishing at 3 a.m. are “not healthy” for the players, but also said she is aware there are a lot of people working in far worse conditions around the world. CNN —An unusual horned comet notable for a series of outbursts, nicknamed the “devil comet,” will make its closest approach of Earth on Sunday around 3 a.m. Given that the comet won’t pass by Earth again for decades, collective observations by astronomers could provide key insights into its true nature and behavior. Officially known as Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks, the celestial object made its closest pass of the sun on April 21, coming within 74.4 million miles (119.7 million kilometers) of our star. The comet will make its closest pass of Earth on Sunday, but it will be more than 143 million miles (230 million kilometers) away from our planet and won’t pose a risk. An overlapping series of events likely has contributed to Pons-Brooks’ distinctive look, but it could also be due to our perspective of the comet, Kareta said.

NEW YORK CNN —A Manhattan prosecutor said Wednesday a new indictment against Harvey Weinstein is possible as additional accusers have come forward with claims against the powerful Hollywood producer whose downfall became a symbol of the #MeToo movement. That trial similarly used “prior bad acts” witnesses and has also been appealed. In addition, three other women testified at trial as “prior bad acts” witnesses. They argued the “prior bad acts” witnesses should not have been allowed to testify and the court should not have given prosecutors the ability to question Weinstein about instances of verbal abuse and bullying on cross-examination. In sexual assault cases, their testimony can turn a difficult “he said, she said” case into a more convincing “he said, they said” case.
