BeondAbout three dozen airlines currently offer service to Velana International Airport, the Maldives’ main airport near the capital island Malé. “The Maldives is one of those markets that can fill an aircraft, even a mostly economy class cabin,” says Feuerherd. However all-business class airlines have used narrow-bodies before. There are no direct flights from Delhi, but carriers including Air India have business class seats from around $750 with a single connection. “There probably is a niche to carve out of premium travelers who want more of a private jet experience, but maybe don’t have the private jet budget.”

Mendoza, ArgentinaWhile it’s summer in the United States, it’s winter in Argentina, when there are typically fewer crowds. Located in a suburb of Mendoza, the hotel is nestled between the Andes and the city of Mendoza, and has just seven suites. Each suite also has a living room, a terrace and a wine fridge (some also have dry saunas). There are wine tastings, of course, as well as blending classes where you can combine different varietals to create your own wine. I recently bought a vintage 1980s Italian designer silk chiffon dress with matching belt and jacket, in somewhat fragile condition. And is there a way to keep sweat off the delicate fabric so I can wear it more places? So it’s worth recognizing that while vintage shopping is a laudable and sometimes highly satisfying practice, one rife with the promise of unique and unexpected finds — the mystery of what might be unearthed! Not to mention a slightly different way of thinking about exactly what you are buying and its role in your life. (Vintage shopping for collectible pieces is a whole different matter with a different value proposition.)

Hospitality comes naturally to the Lebanese Dutch creative strategist Carmen Atiyah de Baets. While her professional background is in fashion, she has an instinct for organizing generous, family-style gatherings that she honed during trips to Beirut with her Lebanese mother. “Lebanon is a place of contrasts,” says Atiyah de Baets, who was raised in the Netherlands and has a degree in Middle Eastern studies from SOAS University of London. - Three Easy Summer Dishes: The French chef Yann Nury elevates classic seasonal recipes with fresh flavor combinations and a few luxurious additions. - A Lebanese Feast in Amsterdam: In a traditional Dutch canal house, a creative strategist organizes a dinner party to introduce a new collection inspired by her mother’s homeland.

NEW YORK, July 23 (Reuters) - It is Barbie’s world, and U.S. small businesses hope their social-media marketing can help them cash in on it. But as Mattel-licensed Barbie marketing and products flood big companies' stores, hotel suites and social media posts, small firms also seek to capitalize on the hype. “Small businesses may look at the Barbie promotions and dream of that kind of budget and mass brand awareness,” said Brianne Fleming, an adjunct marketing instructor at University of Florida. MoonFire, an arts boutique based in Dallas, Texas, hosted a Barbie-themed collaboration in person with ten small businesses selling hot-pink, Barbie-inspired products. The advantage of using ChatGPT is that it can take you down any track you want. It's even possible to uncover hidden gems – if you ask the right questions. To uncover a genuine Tuscan experience, use prompts such as: "Can you recommend authentic restaurants locals love that are known for quality and flavor near Val d'Orcia, with websites and reviews?" ChatGPT understands queries about where locals like to eat, and being specific gets better results. All of this turmoil will be on investors' minds as the media industry kicks off its earnings season this week, with Netflix up first on Wednesday. Netflix, with a new advertising model and push to stop password sharing, looks the best positioned compared with legacy media giants. At the top of the list is contending with Disney's TV networks, as that part of the business appears to be in a worse state than Iger had imagined. The labor fight blew up just as the industry has moved away from streaming growth at all costs. Last week's ruling from a federal judge that Microsoft's $68.7 billion acquisition of game publisher Activision Blizzard should move forward serves as a rare piece of good news for the media industry.

In Tangier, Morocco, near the arched entry gate of the 10th-century Kasbah wall, small shops and houses line narrow streets. The rhythm of daily life includes the call to prayer five times a day, the buzz of motorbikes whizzing by and sea breezes offering relief from the sun. It is also here, high above the Strait of Gibraltar, that a vine-covered house with a storied past sits on a lush 2.5-acre site, its verdant gardens sweeping down to the sea. Now the house has been given its next life. Its name is Villa Mabrouka, which means “house of luck” in Arabic.

Attorneys for Elon Musk filed suit this week against the law firm that represented Twitter when Musk was trying to take the company private last year, claiming the firm charged too much for its work. The lawsuit says Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen, and Katz, which was Twitter's firm prior to Musk's acquisition, racked up a $90 million "last minute" legal bill. Wachtell represented Twitter after Musk reneged on his initial offer to take Twitter private for $44 billion. The law firm helped close the deal in November 2022, and was paid that $90 million fee for its work securing the transaction, which was tendered at a significant premium to Twitter's public market valuation. Twitter sued Musk for not honoring his commitment to the company's shareholders, and Musk eventually relented, purchasing Twitter at the agreed upon price.

DUBAI, July 7 (Reuters) - Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has selected Rothschild & Co (ROTH.PA) to advise on the strategic review of its assets, two sources close to the matter said on Thursday. The transport regulator is considering an initial public offering of Dubai Taxi Corp and its public parking business, said the sources, who declined to be named as the matter is not public. The authority is expected to appoint Emirates NBD for the potential IPOs, two sources with knowledge of the matter said. Dubai raised nearly $8.5 billion from five IPOs last year, fuelled by a government privatisation plan to list 10 state-linked companies to boost stock market activity. The authority was also looking at potential options for its public parking assets and the Nol card, which passengers use to pay for public transport across the emirate.

NEW YORK, July 5 (Reuters Breakingviews) - Paramount Global’s (PARA.O) predicament is worthy of its successful “Mission: Impossible” franchise. Over the past year or so, Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway (BRKa.N) has bought and increased its stake in Paramount to about 15%. Without the funding, her closely held firm might have needed to pledge more of its Paramount stock against a loan. Streaming service Paramount+ is similar to Netflix, whose enterprise is worth 5 times next year’s estimated revenue. “Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One,” from Paramount Pictures, opens in movie theaters on July 12.
