CNN —“This boy’s too young to be singin’ the blues,” Elton John sings in one of his biggest hits “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.”And on Saturday, the legendary singer found himself singing with the sky blue side of Manchester as he was serenaded by Manchester City shortly after the team had won the FA Cup. Pep Guardiola’s side had defeated its bitter rival Manchester United 2-1 at Wembley to keep its hopes of a ‘treble’ still standing, before players and staff bumped into John at Manchester Airport on the tarmac by a plane. “Look who I ran into at Manchester Airport,” John posted on Instagram, alongside a photo of himself holding the FA Cup with some of City’s staff, including a grinning Guardiola. “Congratulations on an incredible double. Fingers crossed for the treble.”Videos posted by Manchester City showed John hugging each of the players in turn as they walked past him, while Phil Foden even posed for a selfie with the singer, before the team serenaded John with a rendition of his famous “Your Song.”“You can tell everybody, we’ve won the FA Cup,” City quipped.

Picture Mark Zuckerberg. Perhaps you envision the Meta boss and Facebook founder in a gray T-shirt, spotlighted on a Silicon Valley stage. Possibly Jesse Eisenberg, the bony actor who played the fledgling tycoon in “The Social Network” (2010), appears in your mind’s eye. But it’s unlikely you conjure anything like the image Mr. Zuckerberg posted to Instagram (which Meta owns) and Facebook on Monday. He also looks completely focused, like a guy in a Michael Bay movie who just finished a dangerous mission, or at least the Raya profile picture of the actor who plays that guy.

Amazon has announced that its Amazon One feature will soon be used to purchase alcohol. The technology allows customers to have their age and payment information accessed by their palm. Irish Haven was a cash-only bar for decades before introducing digital payments in 2020, so Hogan is hesitant to implement palm payments and age verification. Amazon One, Hogan said, could eliminate an important conversation between a bartender and patrons to determine if a person has been drinking prior to visiting his bar. In 2022, Amazon's falter with brick-and-mortar stores led the retail giant to shift its focus to licensing its cashierless technology to third-party retailers.

Nicole Miranda made up to $400 a day speaking to men on the dating apps Meete and ToChat. She used to spend all her time on the apps, but now she markets them on TikTok for referrals. I was scrolling on TikTok one day when I came across a video of a girl talking about an app where guys pay to talk to you. Once I learned how to market the apps really well, I stopped hustling the guys for money because it was a lot of work and mentally exhausting. There are plenty of girls on the app still making thousands a month talking to guys, but for me, it's turned into an affiliate-marketing career.

CNN —A government official in India who drained a reservoir to retrieve a phone he dropped while taking a selfie has been suspended from his job. Vishwas had been out with friends last Sunday afternoon when it slipped from his grasp at the scenic spot in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarhwith. He also said that he had asked others at the reservoir to try to retrieve the phone, but they had been unable to reach it as there was too much water. His suspension order, seen by CNN, also claims that Vishwas did not receive permission to drain the water. In his video statement, however, Vishwas insists the water he drained was from the overflow section of the dam and “not in usable condition” anyway.
An Indian official was suspended after he drained an essential reservoir to find his phone. Rajesh Vishwas was taking a selfie when he dropped the phone in the water, the BBC reported. Rajesh Vishwas, a food inspector, was taking a selfie when he dropped his cell phone into the Kherkatta Dam in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh last weekend, according to BBC News. The official has since been suspended from his position, the BBC reported, after he was criticized for exploiting his position and wasting water. Vishwas denied "misusing" his position, saying the drained water was from an overflow section of the dam and was not "in usable condition."
Say you drop your brand-new smartphone into a reservoir while posing for a selfie during a picnic. Would you consider it lost and buy a replacement, or drain the reservoir to retrieve it? An Indian official who chose the latter option has been suspended from his job. Initially, some villagers he knew spent two days diving in the reservoir in an attempt to retrieve the phone, Mr. Vishwas told The Indian Express newspaper. So he rented a diesel pump and drained about three feet of water over another two days — by some estimates, enough to irrigate 1,500 acres of farmland.
