Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford said he’ll take the issue to the state Supreme Court after Clark County District Court Judge Mary Kay Holthus ruled that Las Vegas was the wrong venue for the case. “They’re done,” said Margaret McLetchie, attorney for Clark County Republican Party chairman Jesse Law, one of the defendants in the case. The state Republican Party issued a statement welcoming the court decision, pointing to Ford’s vow to appeal and asking for contributions to continue the court fight. Chattah ran as a Republican in 2022 for state attorney general and lost to Ford by just under 8% of the vote. Also, unlike other states, Nevada did not have a legal challenge pending in courts at the time.

She started researching and found numerous articles preaching the advantages of freezing eggs before age 35 for higher viability in the future. For the first time, egg freezing was an option for younger women worried about their reproductive future. But that also comes with a cost — and Carney doesn't plan to do another round. Other studies have found that there isn't much added benefit to freezing eggs earlier than 30. Fertility clinics have an obvious business case for trying to convince as many people as possible that egg freezing is something they should do.

Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell had a team-high 22 points each and both shot a supremely efficient 72.7% from the floor. It’s the first time since 2015 that the Fever have enjoyed a four-game home winning streak. “Whenever they went on a run, we always found a way to respond,” Clark told NBA TV of the team’s resilience. Now people are taking full-blown holidays while on the job as part of a trend that's been called "quiet vacationing." It's a stark reminder of how broken American work culture is, just in time for summer. Pretending to work when you're not or acting like you're putting in more hours than you do is not a new phenomenon. If you're quiet vacationing and your boss doesn't know, good for you, I guess. Regardless of how up front (or not) employees are, at the end of the day, American work culture is the bad guy here.

Why your child may be feeling anxious before bedtime

“From 1 year of age to 6 years of age, kids change a lot. Almost half reported their child leaving their bed and moving to the parent’s bed some or most nights, while 1 in 3 parents said their child often or occasionally insists that they stay in the room until the child falls asleep. The most important factor in getting kids to bed is consistency and sticking with a bedtime routine, Mott Poll co-director Clark said. Ninety percent of polled parents reported having an established and consistent bedtime routine. It’s common for young children to experience sleep issues, especially as preschool-age children begin to reduce or drop naptime, Hartstein said.

Bryson DeChambeau’s brilliant bunker shot at 18 and winning putt that followed capped off a remarkable week at Pinehurst No. His second U.S. Open win comes at age 30, another rare accomplishment. June Is the Month When Olympic Dreams Die

Before the Olympics even begin, there is always heartbreak. And June may be the hardest month of all. Caitlin Clark, the ascendant star of women’s basketball, just found out that she won’t be going to Paris. So did Bill May, whose hopes of becoming the first man to compete at the Olympics in the sport of artistic swimming were dashed by the U.S. selection committee. That’s because the U.S. trials in sports like swimming, gymnastics and track and field might just be the fiercest crucibles of all, with a ruthless requirement for Olympic berths: Perform well, or you’re staying home.

O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” — winning an Emmy for her performance as the prosecutor Marcia Clark — her career has roots in theater. And she was exposed to Broadway early on. After she moved to New York City as a child, her mother worked as a waitress at Sardi’s, a Broadway haunt that just so happens to be next door to the theater where “Appropriate” opened in December. Paulson’s first job out of high school was as an understudy on Broadway for Amy Ryan in “The Sisters Rosensweig.” (Ryan, who starred in the play “Doubt,” was also nominated in the leading actress category this year.)

Reached by phone, Lisa’s live-in partner Maria Tazbaz said she sold the Easter baskets at her hardware store. By 2009 Lisa was on supervised parole, but couldn’t stop committing crimes, according to her parole officer, who asked a judge to consider putting her back in prison. In a letter to the judge, the parole officer outlined Lisa’s infractions: She faked cancer to get sympathy from a court on a charge for bogus checks. After spending much of 2010 and 2011 imprisoned in Oklahoma, Lisa was released. At a hearing for the revocation of her release, the parole officer testified she had “noticed, and attempted to stop, a pattern by the defendant of defrauding her boyfriends.” A judge locked her back up.

CNN —As she adjusts to life in the WNBA, rookie phenom Caitlin Clark is also having to navigate becoming a lightning rod for societal discourse. “It’s disappointing,” replied Clark ahead of the Indiana Fever’s home game against the Atlanta Dream.
