In 2019, real-estate agents and brothers Tal and Oren Alexander sold a $240 million condo. That's the Alexander brothers' unofficial mantra. In 2015, Griffin dropped $46.4 million on an abstract painting by Gerhard Richter, putting him in the Alexanders' crosshairs. Tal wouldn't reveal how he acquired Griffin's cell phone number, Clarke noted, but one of the writer's sources said he bought it from a former FBI agent. But Griffin wasn't interested in the penthouse Tal had in mind for him.

But an expert said it will likely suffer from a significant capability gap: close air support. Because this is where they'll feel their lack of aircraft to attack those, the close air support which F-16s would do very well." Close air support is pretty much what it sounds like — aircraft working closely with ground units, usually to clear out obstacles or damage key positions or weapons so that foot soldiers and armor can advance. The F-16 has distinguished itself in the past in close air support, including in the Kosovo War, the First Gulf War and in the US invasion of Afghanistan. As a Pentagon spokesman said in a recent briefing, F-16s to Ukraine is a "long-term" endeavor and "will not be relevant to the upcoming counter offensive."

AS SCIENCE fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke famously said, any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. No wonder your tech-savvy co-workers often seem like wizards. You know the ones I’m talking about: those unflappable souls who can instantly find the file, email or thread that will prove them right in a dispute, while barely breaking eye contact with anyone who might challenge them.

LONDON, June 9 (Reuters) - Boris Johnson awarded his political aides and allies with some of Britain's highest honours to mark his resignation as prime minister, including some who attended parties in government buildings during COVID-19 lockdowns. Martin Reynolds, a senior civil servant and Johnson's former principal private secretary, was given an Order of the Bath award for public service. Labour Party deputy leader Angela Rayner called Johnson's honours list a "sickening insult". A Conservative member of parliament, who asked not to be named, said the list was "deeply embarrassing" and showed Johnson's lack of remorse. The former prime minister also approved honours for Conservative party politicians who have recently been caught in other scandals.

Carbon accounting will be in focus at the COP28 climate summit in Dubai this year as countries assess progress against climate goals agreed in Paris in 2015, and de Klerk said it was crucial military emissions were included. "Emissions of conflicts and military emissions are often overlooked," he told Reuters. The report - Climate Damage Caused By Russia's War in Ukraine - was funded by the European Climate Foundation and the Environmental Policy and Advocacy Initiative in Ukraine. HARD TO DECIPHERUkraine's Ministry of Environmental Protection said it was important to initiate discussions about the impact of conflicts on the climate. Government reporting of military and conflict emissions to the United Nations is notoriously hard to decipher.

Money is a big reason why many people take on side hustles, but there are non-financial reasons why people try side jobs too. "Side hustlers are much more likely to view this extra income as essential, rather than a passion project or a way to get ahead financially." In the April survey, 39% of US adults said they do something "to earn extra income on the side" outside of their primary income source. For example, people may want to make extra money outside of a main job to put toward paying off debt. One full-time worker who tries side hustles told Insider he does his side hustle work during some nights.

"In our ongoing efforts to fulfill the promise of Brown vs. Board of Education, we currently have 32 open cases with school districts here in Mississippi," Clarke said. In addition to school districts, Clarke said at least five Mississippi jails and prisons have come under federal scrutiny. Clarke declined to offer more details about the case, citing an ongoing federal civil rights investigation.
