James’ 21 points, eight rebounds and nine assists helped provide the spark for Team USA throughout the contest. The first half though was all about Kevin Durant, who scored 21 points on 8-for-8 shooting. Edwards finished with 11 points and five rebounds. It appeared to be the turning point that put Team USA on its way to a blowout win after Serbia hung around for much of the first three quarters of the game.

Biles submitted a new element on the uneven bars for consideration to the International Gymnastics Federation on Friday. Simone Biles has submitted an original skill on the Uneven Bars! Asked about the vault, Biles’ coach Cecile Landi smiled broadly. She earned her first named move in 2013, on the floor exercise and three of her elements — the Biles on beam, Biles II on floor, Biles and now Biles II on vault — rank as the most difficult skills on their respective apparatus. At the Tokyo Games in 2021, Biles withdrew from the team competition after battling the twisties.

Billionaire investor Bill Ackman is postponing the highly scrutinized listing of Pershing Square's U.S. closed-end fund, according to a notice on the New York Stock Exchange's website. The initial public offering of Pershing Square USA Ltd., with the ticker PSUS, has been delayed until a date to be announced, according to the website. Pershing Square declined to comment further. Most of its capital is in Pershing Square Holdings, a $15 billion closed-end fund that trades in Europe. The publicly traded closed-end fund is expected to invest in 12 to 24 large-cap, investment-grade, "durable growth" companies in North America.
