SYDNEY, Jan 24 (Reuters) - American rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, may not be suitable for an Australian visa because of his history of anti-Semitic remarks, a government minister said on Wednesday, as pressure mounted to deny the award-winning rapper entry. Minister for Education Jason Clare condemned Ye's "awful" anti-Semitic comments involving Hitler and the Holocaust, saying others who had made similar statements had been denied visas. Ye has been dropped by major corporate partners, including Adidas (ADSGn.DE) and banned from Twitter because of anti-Semitic remarks and outbursts on social media against other celebrities. "He's not a person of good character and the minister has the ability to stop somebody coming into our country of bad character." Peter Wertheim, co-chief executive officer of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, met officials on Tuesday to argue for an entry ban.

Adidas' messy breakup with Ye is the latest in a series of complications for sneaker resellers. Sneaker resellers have felt the effects of the end of the stimulus check and the rise of inflation. Sneaker resellers saw a bot crackdownWhile not as lucrative as Nike in the aftermarket, it was easier to buy Yeezys in bulk on Yeezy Supply using bots. The loss of Yeezy sales then combined with Nike's crackdown on bots. I'm working to expand my team to accommodate the online customer, walk-in customer, and sneaker customer," Falcon said.
Inflation and high inventory have created the perfect environment for new sneaker collectors. Chris Cuomo spoke out about his ousting from CNN on the "No BS News Hour" podcast last week. Cuomo still said he views CNN as the "best news organization in the world," the New York Post reported. "I am emotionally and psychologically beat up and changed by what I went through," Cuomo told podcast hosts Charlie LeDuff and Karen Dumas, as reported by the New York Post on Saturday. Cuomo was fired from CNN in December 2021, after he helped his brother and former New York Gov. Cuomo told LeDuff and Dumas he wasn't given the opportunity to say goodbye to his staff after CNN abruptly fired him, per the Post.
"Mar-a-Lago is a highly secured facility, with Security Cameras all over the place, and watched over by staff & our great Secret Service," wrote Trump. In the post, Trump compared Mar-a-Lago to President Joe Biden's "flimsy, unlocked, and unsecured" private residence in Wilmington, Delaware. This was recently spotlighted by the Justice Department investigation into the mishandling of classified documents and presidential records at Mar-a-Lago. The New York Times reported that of the more than 100 classified documents found at Mar-a-Lago, most were located in a non-secure storage area. During its August 2022 raid, FBI agents found classified documents in Trump's "45 Office" — located above Mar-a-Lago's main ballroom.

WASHINGTON, Jan 12 (Reuters) - Belief of Americans in antisemitic conspiracy theories and tropes has nearly doubled since 2019, an Anti-Defamation League (ADL) survey showed on Thursday. The survey asked Americans how much they agreed with statements expressing anti-Jewish tropes or conspiracy theories and found that more than half of Americans believed at least one, the New York-based advocacy group said. About 85% of Americans believed at least one anti-Jewish trope, compared with 61% in 2019, the ADL said, adding that 20% of Americans believed six or more anti-Jewish tropes, substantially more than the 11% in 2019. About 39% of the respondents in the ADL survey believed Jews were more loyal to Israel than the United States. Ye, aka Kanye West, hasn't replaced lawyers who abandoned him following his antisemitic tirades. In another case in Los Angeles county court, lawyers have been trying to track down Ye since October to serve him with a lawsuit. That deadline is fast approaching, with radio silence from Ye, court filings show. In yet another case, lawyers for a plaintiff trying to sue Ye can't even find the rapper to serve him papers. If Ye doesn't come to court with an answer to the lawsuit, he risks losing it by default.

Though in far different fields, men like Ye (formerly known as Kanye West), Elon Musk, Donald Trump, Johnny Depp and Sam Bankman-Fried will forever be linked by this ignominious characteristic. Over the past 12 interminable months, America has witnessed the rantings of Hitler-loving Ye; Musk’s edgelord trolling on his new plaything, Twitter; Depp and his toxic TikTok fanboys; and Trump being Trump on any given day. While seemingly not vain like Ye or Depp or openly thuggish like Trump and Musk, he nonetheless exhibits traits that point to something sinister behind the “just-a-regular-dude” persona. Trump seems to be losing ground, and Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee finally took down their “Kanye. Musk asked Twitter users whether he should step down as CEO, and they voted “yes.”Unfortunately, until we address roots causes, there will always be another blustering bully, another Trump, another Ye.

A few years later, Musk cited Ye as someone who inspires him, and in 2020, Musk expressed support for Ye when he announced his plans to run for US president. Musk later said in a Twitter Spaces meeting that he wanted to "punch" Ye after he tweeted the image of a swastika.

In a separate statement released Wednesday by Secretly, a music label that has worked with London, family members and friends reported that he was last spoken to in July, The Associated Press reported. London released his third album, 2020's "Bebey," on his own label, My Bebey Records.

The lawyers can't find him to tell him they've quit, and West isn't responding to texts. Lawyers for Greenberg Traurig were able to serve West with documents telling him they no longer wanted to represent him. In that case, held in federal court in California, US District Judge George H. Wu allowed Greenberg Traurig to withdraw on December 2. In court documents first reported by The Sun and reviewed by Insider, lawyers for Thomas St. John said on December 19 that they couldn't serve West with the lawsuit. West's previous lawyers — presumably the ones at Greenberg Traurig — told the management firm they no longer represented West, and the firm couldn't locate any replacement firm.
Donald Trump said he never asked Ivanka and Jared Kushner to join his 2024 campaign. He said he told them not to be part of it because people would be "too mean and nasty." Recent reports have suggested that the pair are distancing themselves from Trump's politics. "Contrary to Fake News reporting, I never asked Jared or Ivanka to be part of the 2024 Campaign for President," Trump wrote on Truth Social, the social media platform he founded, on Monday. Ivanka did not attend her father's 2024 campaign launch in November, and later told the media that she does not have political ambitions.

President Joe Biden is expected to issue a strong condemnation of emboldened antisemitism in the U.S. and around the world during a Hanukkah reception at the White House on Monday. The president will deliver remarks at the event, which he is hosting with first lady Jill Biden, following blessing and a menorah lighting, a White House official said. In his remarks, Biden will forcefully argue that silence is complicity amid rising antisemitic attacks and emphasize that all forms of hate, antisemitism and violence have no place in America, the official said. The Bidens are also expected to mark a new tradition by adding the first menorah to the White House collection. Last week, Biden formed a new interagency group to develop a national strategy to combat antisemitism.
