I've been a junior high and high school teacher for five years. The back-to-school season can be hectic for everyone, but there are things that can make it easier. From my perspective as a mom and a teacher, these are the seven things I'd recommend every parent do to prepare themselves and their child for the start of a new school year. Over the summer, the school will tell you about important dates, such as registration dates and the teacher meet-and-greet event. And no matter how many years I've been a teacher and parent, I still get nervous, too.

The direct-to-consumer health-care startup Ro launched a new free tool Tuesday to help patients determine whether their insurance covers a buzzy class of weight loss and diabetes drugs called GLP-1s. Ro said nearly half of the company's patients have some form of insurance coverage for a GLP-1, according to its customer data. Ro said it hopes its new tool can help patients understand their coverage options so they can decide how to pursue weight loss. The digital health company may benefit too, as it could drive some patients to join the company's GLP-1 program. It includes 24/7 messaging, one-on-one coaching with nurses and help with navigating insurance coverage.

CNN —After a Michigan man was one number off from matching all five winning numbers in the state’s Fantasy 5 jackpot last month, he got back into the action the next day. The 53-year-old man from Macomb County, who chose not to reveal his identity, says the night after his near win, he played again and matched all five numbers to win the $795,905 Fantasy 5 jackpot, the Michigan Lottery said in a news release Thursday. “I always buy Fantasy 5 tickets if the jackpot is over $250,000,” the player told the Michigan Lottery. He had won $100, but says he was “bummed” to miss out on the large jackpot prize. “I never could have imagined then that the next night I would actually win the jackpot!” he said.

CNN —A World War II airman who died in 1943 after his aircraft went down over Romania was recently honored at an American cemetery abroad, according to the American Battle Monuments Commission. The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced last month Samoski was accounted for, according to a news release from the agency. American Graves Registration Command, which tracked down fallen American personnel, disinterred all American remains from the cemetery after the war, according to the agency. The remains of more than 80 unknowns who could not be identified were recovered and interred at two cemeteries in Belgium. Those remains were then sent from Belgium to an agency laboratory to be examined and identified, the agency said.

And the reason for the rocket breakup remains unknown. Everything in low-Earth orbit travels at 17,500 miles per hour, Crassidis said. After a while, I began to wonder how and when things were supposed to change now that I had a partner. I had been independent for so long before I met my husband that I had gotten used to doing everything on my own. So, I asked a close girlfriend what she and her husband did as far as the housework went. I asked her how they decided, and she said that if there was something she really didn't enjoy doing, then she would ask if her husband minded doing that and vice versa. I really love my husband, and I didn't want to harbor feelings of resentment over things like chores around the house.
