Comcast reported mixed results before the bell Tuesday, missing on revenue estimates due to tough year-over-year comparisons for its film studio and theme parks. The company's revenue fell nearly 3% to $29.69 billion compared to the same period last year. Revenue from the content and experiences segment, which includes the NBCUniversal TV business, theme parks and Universal Pictures, was down 7.5% to $10.06 billion. Some of the most important factors to consider when buying a house are price, size, and location. Location and neighborhoodLocation is something you're stuck with until you move, so be sure you're choosing a city, school district, and neighborhood that suits your needs. If homes are flying off the shelves, you'll need to be prepared to make fast offers that get noticed right off the bat. If the appraisal comes in lower than what you offer, you'll have to make up the difference or renegotiate with the seller. Evaluating a house's resale potential is critical, as you want to be sure you're making a smart investment of your money.

CNN —A 72-year-old Montana man shot and killed a grizzly bear after it attacked him while he was alone picking huckleberries, according to the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks. The man was hospitalized after the encounter, which happened Thursday evening near Columbia Falls on Flathead National Forest lands, the agency said in a news release. FWP’s wardens and bear specialists referred to the incident as a “surprise defensive encounter.”The man reportedly shot the bear with a handgun after the adult female grizzly charged him, the release stated. Grizzly bears, which live in the US states of Montana, Alaska, Idaho, Wyoming and Washington, feed on berries as part of their diet, according to the North American Bear Center. Bear attacks are rare, with most bears usually interested in protecting their space, food or cubs, according to the National Park Service.

People walk toward an entrance to Disneyland on April 24, 2023 in Anaheim, California. Four unions representing more than 14,000 workers at Disney's theme parks and resort properties in Southern California announced late Friday that members have voted to authorize a strike, citing alleged unfair labor practices during contract negotiations. The thousands of workers at Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, the Downtown Disney retail district and Disney-owned hotels authorized a walkout, the unions announced. If a strike does occur, it would be the first at Disneyland in 40 years. The unions said there was "a 99% membership vote in favor of authorizing their Disney Workers Rising bargaining committee to call for an unfair labor practice strike."

Now, negotiating better wages and working conditions for Carranza and thousands of other Disneyland employees has gotten messy, to the point where 9,500 of them will conclude a vote on Friday that will authorize a potential strike. But that does not mean a strike will necessarily happen, as was the case with Teamsters at UPS last year. A dream of affordabilityCarranza ‘s Disneyland wage is just over $20 per hour, after factoring in a differential for working the overnight shift. Escaping reality, not confronting itA strike would involve about 9,500 employees who work at Disneyland Park, currently under a contract that expired in June. But only the Disneyland Park employees will vote and participate in a strike for now.

Since then, I've traveled to all 50 states solo, and although I've found beauty in all corners of the United States, I haven't felt a desire to move anywhere else. I love visiting Great Sand Dunes National Park, which is home to the tallest sand dunes in North America, and Colorado National Monument, which has a Utah-like red-rock canyon landscape. Colorado is home to four major national parks, including Great Sand Dunes. Great Sand Dunes is home to the tallest sand dunes in North America, Black Canyon of the Gunnison has some of North America's steepest cliffs, and Mesa Verde preserves the cliff dwellings and rich history of the Ancestral Puebloan people. Colorado wine country offers a surprising array of world-class wines with incredible mountain backdrops that I love to visit.

With consumers getting more selective on how and where they vacation, cruise lines are fighting for Americans' tourist budgets. Royal Caribbean thinks shortening trips and packing the days with activities and exclusive opportunities will keep customers hooked. "I think we are an experience-driven mindset," Royal Caribbean CEO Jason Liberty told CNBC's "Squawk on the Street" this week. This is the second cruise ship Royal Caribbean is bringing to market in the span of six months. “Gen Z boss and a mini”? If you can think of two catchy descriptors that encapsulate your outfit and unique aura, you’ve got enough material to get in on the latest TikTok style trend. Some TikTokers are using the trend to celebrate their own style, their unique shine too bright to share with others in the same video. The brand even capitalized on its viral fame with a “Gen Z boss and a mini” bundle of skin care products. Corporate cringe though it may be, the trend is already paying off for the squad of TikTok-savvy skin care mavens.

Deep beneath the town hall in Arles, France, past some unassuming service counters and down several flights of narrow steps, the artist Sophie Calle has buried some things that she can’t bear to part with. This year’s edition of the Rencontres, which runs through Sept. 29, is titled “Beneath the Surface,” and Calle’s contribution takes place in a labyrinthine series of underground caverns bisected by long arched balustrades. The shadowy walkways and damp, moldy atmosphere are ideal for her project, in which she displays works from her storeroom that were damaged in a storm. Advised by restorers to destroy them, she decided instead to give them a subterranean afterlife. And so, the works are now “buried” in Arles, where they continue to decompose, but have not, at least, been forsaken.
