A walk to customer service takes place soon after. Now, Apple wants to help you find your lost luggage. Apple is unveiling a new feature where users will be able to share an Air Tag’s location with third parties, like airlines. The new Apple feature is available worldwide in beta and is part of the iOS 18.2 software update, which is expected to be released in December. Since being introduced in 2021, the Apple Air Tag product has helped people keep track of their belongings, from wallets to keys.

They’ve pressed forward even though a majority of Americans still see the Capitol rioters as responsible for an attack against democracy, according to the most recent polling. The most pressing concerns are for convicted rioters required to report to prison before Trump’s inauguration in January, and for rioters with sentencing hearings coming up, according to a source familiar with the discussions. “They’re thrilled with the election, but there’s a lot of uncertainty from their perspective,” the source told CNN. For convicted rioters already serving prison sentences, there’s even less hope to get them out based on Trump’s campaign rhetoric, the source said. She later told CNN that her strategy guide has already been sent to Trump and the Republican National Committee.

Pushing the funding fight to next year would put Trump in position to have far greater say. Congress faces a jam-packed to-do list of critical legislative items, including the annual defense policy bill. The next Trump loyalty test – who will lead the Senate GOP? CNN —A sculpture bought for just £5 ($6) and used as a doorstop could sell for more than £2.5 million ($3.2 million) after a Scottish court gave the green light for its sale. In 1998, the bust was found being used to keep open a shed door on an industrial park, according to the Highland Council. In a May report on the proposed sale, the Highland Council said a private overseas buyer had contacted auction house Sotheby’s and put forward an offer of more than £2.5 million. Following a public consultation earlier this year, members of a council committee recommended that the bust should be sold. By June, the wider council had agreed to the proposal, the spokeswoman told CNN.

Pennsylvania's hotly contested Senate race hangs in the balance nearly a week after Election Day, with Republicans declaring victory and Democrats holding out hope that the remaining batch of outstanding ballots will allow them to close the gap. A McCormick victory would further pad Republicans' newfound majority in the Senate, where they will hold at least 52 seats after the election. But even before the new Congress is sworn in next January, the outcome of the Pennsylvania race could have implications for the Senate leadership elections Wednesday. Pennsylvanians can cast provisional ballots when officials are unclear about their eligibility or there were issues with their returned mail-in ballots. McCormick’s campaign filed two lawsuits Friday challenging an estimated 15,000 to 20,000 provisional ballots in Philadelphia that may have issues, such as missing signatures.

AOC during a recent Instagram Q&A asked voters why they backed her candidacy and Trump's reelection. Ocasio-Cortez strongly backed Harris and stumped for the vice president during the 2024 campaign. AdvertisementMany voters who split their tickets between Ocasio-Cortez and Trump or other Democratic candidates and Trump pointed to two key issues: the economy and the conflict in Gaza. And the vice president sought to reassure voters concerned over the Israel-Hamas war and the plight of Palestinians that she would work to secure peace in the region as president. The president-elect made major inroads, notably in several Democratic-heavy states, as many voters remained frustrated over the direction of the country.

CNN —Given his rhetoric demonizing undocumented immigrants and his promise to engage in mass deportations when he returns to the White House in January, it’s kind of shocking that deportations actually dropped in the four years Donald Trump was president. Appearing Monday on Fox News, Homan said Trump 2.0 will be like his first term but with more deportations. During his first term, Trump also promised mass deportations. But that’s about half the 2.9 million deportations undertaken during Barack Obama’s first term and fewer than the 1.9 million deportations during Obama’s second term. For the most part, GM stock has traded in lockstep with Ford due to their histories and the cyclical nature of the automotive industry. Ford stock is off 10% as of Friday's close. Others, including Ferrari , which has been among Wall Street's top auto performers, are also trailing GM. Shares of GM under Barra, who started leading the automaker in January 2014, have been lackluster for investors for most of her tenure.

CNN —Republicans flipped the Senate, but Democratic candidates often outran the top of the ticket, winning at least four battleground states that Vice President Kamala Harris lost. Harris lost all seven swing states to President-elect Donald Trump, while her party’s Senate candidates narrowly held Wisconsin, Nevada and open seats in Michigan and Arizona. In some races, the differences between the Senate candidates’ and Harris’ performances were more pronounced among subsections of the Democratic coalition. While Trump won independents by 2 points, Rosen won the group by 6. Overall, Democratic Senate candidates received more votes than Harris in about half of this year’s races, including in less competitive states such as Minnesota, Virginia and Missouri.

But holding the White House and Senate majority for another few weeks doesn’t guarantee Democrats will have an easy time processing the final batch of Biden appointees. “There is a push across the board from the White House and the Senate for Democrats to show up and do the job they were elected to do,” a senior White House official, asking for anonymity to speak candidly, told CNN. The White House official pointed to how Republican Texas Sen. John Cornyn on Saturday promised “no weekends, no breaks” to confirm Trump’s Cabinet once he took power, and the White House official encouraged Democrats to show that dedication to judges in Biden’s final stretch. “Regardless of party, the American people expect their leaders to prioritize the rule of law and ensuring the criminal justice system can function effectively in every stated,” said White House spokesperson Andrew Bates. CNN —The White House is racing to dole out remaining funds appropriated from key legislation President Joe Biden signed before President-elect Donald Trump takes office in 10 weeks. The implementation efforts reflect one slice of how the Biden administration is working to shore up key initiatives as the second Trump presidency approaches. About $103 billion in Inflation Reduction Act funding, which makes up 92% of the law’s total, has been announced as of late October.
