But these multigenerational brand names are now trailing behind Nvidia, suddenly the most-valuable public company in the world. With a market value of over $3 trillion, Nvidia is worth more than most countries’ entire economies. All that demand for Nvidia chips surely must’ve increased competition, right? All that means is demand for Nvidia chips isn’t going away any time soon but that competition will continue to grow more fierce. Before we know it, another company with a name most people can’t pronounce will be referred to as the next Nvidia.

Bank of America warned against seeing Nvidia as a potential long-term pullback victim while cautioning that today's artificial intelligence boom is altogether different from the 1990s dot-com bubble. Nvidia briefly rallied 3.8% on Thursday, helping send the S & P 500 above 5,500 for the first time, only to later retreat as much as 3.8%. Additionally, Arya pointed to demand among cloud customers for Nvidia's new Blackwell AI accelerator systems. The analyst said on-premise enterprise and sovereign AI demand as well as software monetization is still in the "early stages." When all is said and done, Arya said that Nvidia's valuation is still "compelling."

Autonomous trucking startup Waabi announced Tuesday it has raised $200 million in an oversubscribed Series B funding round led by existing investors Uber and Khosla Ventures. Waabi's latest funding round also includes Nvidia, a new investor in the company, as well as Porsche and the venture capital arm of Volvo. Using generative AI, Waabi has built a single AI system that is capable of reasoning, just as humans do, and that can come up with problems human minds couldn't conceptualize. The new investor round brings Waabi's total funding to $280 million since being founded in 2021. "This funding round gives us everything we need, both financially and strategically, to launch fully driverless trucks and accelerate our growth in 2025," Urtasun said.

New York CNN —Nvidia, Wall Street’s artificial intelligence poster child, is now the most valuable company in the United States. Apple is the third most valuable company in the US with a $3.27 trillion market cap. Nvidia earlier this month joined the tech giants in becoming the only US companies to cross a $3 trillion market cap. Nvidia’s chips are unmatched in producing processors that power artificial intelligence systems, including for generative AI, the technology backing OpenAI’s ChatGPT that can create text, images and other media. The Jensen Huang-led company’s dethroning of Microsoft comes as Wall Street’s most prominent tech companies battle for the coveted top spot.

Hoft appeared to view the distinction between his personal finances and TGP Communications, the now-bankrupt corporate entity that owns The Gateway Pundit, as little more than a formality. Both he and his brother, Joe Hoft — a Gateway Pundit cofounder — took loans from the company, he said. AdvertisementSome of the creditors suing The Gateway Pundit claim the bankruptcy is a legal maneuver to try to escape from accountability in other courts. Coomer has also sued Hoft after The Gateway Pundit falsely accused him of being on "a conference call filled with Antifa-sympathizing callers" to rig the election. He used the company to give himself an $800,000 loan to purchase a condo in 2021 in Jensen Beach, Florida, he said.

Jensen Huang's biggest career lesson didn't come from a mentor or a fellow tech CEO. "I used to work from one of our international sites for one month each summer," Huang, the billionaire co-founder and CEO of computer chip company Nvidia, said during a commencement speech at the California Institute of Technology on Friday. While there, Huang came across a man working in a vast garden. Their interaction was brief, but the gardener's words became one of the "most profound learnings in my life," Huang said. This gardener has dedicated himself to his craft and doing his life's work.

Jensen Huang doesn't schedule one-on-one meetings with the people who report to him — but that doesn't mean he has no time for them. The billionaire Nvidia CEO and co-founder revealed that aspect of his managerial style during a talk at Stanford University in March. DON'T MISS: The ultimate guide to becoming a master communicator and public speakerIn Huang's case, scheduling 55 recurring one-on-one meetings could fill up a calendar quickly. A fully booked planner carries psychological ramifications, too, Yale University psychology professor Laurie Santos said at SXSW in March. To fend it off, Santos suggested going through your to-do list and figuring out which items don't actually need to be scheduled.

Read previewThere are signs that Nvidia is adopting a defensive posture as competitors try to carve out a piece of the AI computing market it has dominated thus far. What does going on the defensive look like for a company with between 70% and 90% market share? Advertisement"Our sense is that investor expectations still haven't adjusted enough to the impacts the Blackwell launch will have on Nvidia competitors," the analysts wrote. The fast pace of new launches makes meaningful competition even harder to fathom according to Morgan Stanley. Morgan Stanley assessed that Broadcom is poised to gain market share while AMD's fate is less certain.

Buying stocks with a rising exposure to artificial intelligence could lead to outperformance later this year, according to Morgan Stanley. But for investors who have missed out on the AI trade, Morgan Stanley says it's not too late. In a recent note, a team of eight Morgan Stanley strategists led by Edward Stanley highlighted a group of stocks where artificial intelligence is beginning to play a bigger role in their business, which they called "the enablers." "We believe this strategy of picking stocks where AI materiality is increasing will continue to work for investors for the remainder of 2024," Morgan Stanley wrote.
