I asked it to write responses to my Hinge matches. I fed ChatGPT a few comments that were left on my Hinge profile, and also asked it to come up with responses to other people's prompts. In reply to a flame emoji left on one of my photos, ChatGPT offered: "Thanks for the hot compliment! In another prompt, I asked the bot to write a short, witty response to someone whose profile says they work in finance. The number of times that ChatGPT asked me to message someone about "craft beers and avocado toast" makes me think that ChatGPT may be powered by some poor 2010s hipster.
New York CNN —Molson Coors is typically known for its lineup of beers and booze, but its newest drink isn’t either. Small-cap stocks are trading at the greatest discount relative to their larger counterparts. Instead, investors spent the year shifting from growth to value stocks in an attempt to seek a safe haven. He specified small-cap stocks, which are trading at the greatest discount relative to their larger counterparts. The Federal Reserve is then expected to ease its monetary policy, which would lead to a rebound in the stock market. The caveat is that many of these small-cap stocks also have a high uncertainty rating, which indicates how closely Morningstar thinks its forecast will match the company's outcome.

PARIS, Jan 2 (Reuters) - Malteries Soufflet, a branch of French agribusiness group InVivo, said on Monday it had signed an agreement to take over Belgian malthouse Castle Malting, one of the oldest producers of the beer ingredient in the world. Castle Malting, called "La Malterie du Château" in French, is located near the castle of Beloeil in southern Belgium. Established in 1868, it is the oldest malting plant in the country and one of the oldest in the world. Belgium is famous for its beers offering a large variety of flavours, colours and alcohol strengths. Castle Malting would give Malteries Soufflet the opportunity to develop its activity in the higher value-added craft beer market where it is not very present, InVivo said.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The suspect in the killings of four University of Idaho students last month had been known to some employees at a Pennsylvania brewery to make "creepy" and inappropriate comments, the business owner said. The brewery sometimes had "unusual characters," Serulneck said, but he remembered Kohberger from some interactions he had with female patrons and staff. “Staff put in there, ‘Hey, this guy makes creepy comments, keep an eye on him. Serulneck said Kohberger would ask the female staff or customers who they were at the brewery with, where they lived and what their work schedule was. Kohberger had not returned to the brewery since Serulneck approached him months ago about the complaints from his staff, the owner said.
A more transparent approach, Fry said, would "give a little bit of assurance to people that we've locked the scene down. The shocking crimes have captivated the nation, generating about 19,000 tips from the public that police said were crucial to the probe. A Pennsylvania judge in Monroe County, north of Allentown, on Friday ordered that Kohberger be extradited to Idaho next month, court records showed. “He should be presumed innocent until proven otherwise — not tried in the court of public opinion,” public defender Jason LaBar says in a statement, adding, “Mr. Serulneck says Kohberger came to his brewery a few times and female staff would often complain about his behavior.

CNN —You had a little too much to drink last night, and now you’re nursing that dreaded morning aftermath — a hangover. There is no scientifically proven way to cure a hangover, but experts say you can prevent one — or at least keep that morning-after misery to a minimum. Drink on a full stomachEating a little before you start drinking can reduce your hangover symptoms, experts say. AbstainIn the end, however, experts say there is only one true preventive — or cure — for a hangover: Don’t drink. “There’s no simple cure because there are so many complex factors that are producing the multiple symptoms of a hangover,” Swift said.

Dry January is almost upon us, and people around the world are gearing up for a booze-free month. The non-alcoholic beverage market is booming, with sales up 7% to become a $11 billion market in 2022. Here are some of our favorite booze-free options to enjoy all month long, and beyond. In addition to containing zero alcohol, it also has zero calories, zero carbohydrates, and zero gluten, making it a health-conscious option as well. The fizzy beverage has become a fan favorite on social media, with several TikTok posts dedicated to the drink.
But the CEO of one of the leading non-alcoholic beer companies said that the demand for non-alcoholic brews is booming well beyond a single month. "This is the moment we've been waiting for in the category," Bill Shufelt, Athletic Brewing CEO, said on CNBC's "Squawk Box "on Wednesday. Long a sleepy category within the broader industry of beer, non-alcoholic beer has seen its growth skyrocket in recent years as bigger beer giants like AB InBev and Heineken launch new products as well as the emergence of independent brewers like Athletic Brewing. The lack of quality non-alcoholic beer options was the impetus for Shufelt, a former trader at Steve Cohen's Point72 Asset Management, to start the Connecticut-based company in 2017, which solely focuses on non-alcoholic brewing. Shufelt said that non-alcoholic beers now make up more than 2% of all beer sold at U.S. grocery stores, and at some national chain retailers, it is upwards of 8% of their beer category.

BofA calls the Club stock a "top tier operator" and expects the company to grow revenue in the coming year despite fears of an economic downturn. Critically, experts say, nothing that's transpired in the crypto market in 2022 undermines the inherent value of the blockchain. "So while this has been a shock to the market, a lot of people in the space remain sanguine about the future of blockchain technology." He said stock trading, buying and selling real estate, and borrowing and lending money remain ripe for disruption by blockchain technology. "The ethereum blockchain could turn out to be this major infrastructure layer for the future of technological services," Abner said. He said prospective crypto users must prepare for a steep learning curve going forward, because it ultimately involves trusting only yourself to be in charge of your assets.

We're buying 25 shares of Constellation Brands (STZ) at roughly $230.60 each. Our thesis all year has been that beer demand tends to be resilient in a macroeconomic slowdown, and we think the risk of trade-down from Constellation's one-of-a-kind Mexican beer portfolio is minimal. Lastly, we believe that Constellation Brands trading at a steep discount to other beverage stocks makes it attractive. He foresees the S&P 500 falling another 30% and bottoming within the next three to nine months. Abate shared 11 compelling stocks to buy to mitigate looming recessionary risks. But with the looming threat of a recession, Abate believes that the days of big contrarian trade ideas are now behind us. Especially "idiosyncratic stocks that have kind of already felt the pain of a downturn, so even if a recession happens, their backlogs can get them through recessionary conditions." Two biotechnology names Abate noted as standout idiosyncratic ideas are Biogen (BIIB) and Gilead (GILD).
Over the past year, more and more tech workers have seen perks pulled as companies try to ride out a tough market and potential recession. As perks disappear and performance reviews become more brutal, tech workers' compensation will remain high. But for tech workers who, quite literally, enjoyed a free lunch, it still feels like the end of an era. Layoffs have wracked the tech industry, with 150,000 tech workers losing their job in 2022. But it's clear that for some tech workers, this perk correction has been overdue.
Much is written about the professional opportunities remote employees miss by not working in person. On an intellectual level, I realize it's silly to experience pangs of FOMO for work get-togethers that I can't possibly go to. But on a middle-school level, I can't help but feel a stab of sadness about not being included in office social life, especially during this most social time of year. But now that more employees are back to in-person work, there are good times to be had — and remote employees are taking notice. Remote work works for my life, my family, and my job, and despite the drawbacks, I'd rather be WFH than any other setup.
Taiwan mulls WTO case after latest Chinese import bans

Taiwan, which China claims as its own territory, has complained for the past two years of Chinese import bans on various agricultural and aquatic goods, including pineapples and grouper fish, saying it is part of a Chinese pressure campaign. Speaking to reporters, Su said China was using administrative means to "interfere" in normal trade which is not in line with WTO norms. The government will do its best to communicate with relevant Chinese departments on the issue, he added. "If there is any non-compliance with the relevant WTO norms, we will also follow the relevant channels to file a complaint." It said it hoped that Taiwanese companies will provide the information that meets government requirements as soon as possible.
