But for those looking for alternatives, UBS has refreshed its list of "highest conviction and most investable" tech stocks in Asia. So far, UBS' Asian Super 8 has gained 8.3% since its inception in February, beating the 6.7% returned by the benchmark MSCI Asia-Pacific index. "We believe the valuation discount across the value chain in Asia's technology sector offers a defensive catch-up play for investors," UBS' analysts wrote. Tencent has been making headlines recently, with several analysts bullish, including Goldman Sachs , which included the stock in its conviction list. The company, which also goes by the name Foxconn, is expecting over 40% year-on-year growth in its AI server sub-segment this year, UBS' analysts noted.

The average side hustler is bringing in $891 per month. That's up from $810 per month in 2023, or a 10% increase altogether, says Ted Rossman, senior industry analyst at Bankrate. That's followed by 44% of millennials, 33% of Gen Xers and 23% of Baby Boomers. That's followed by Gen Zers, who are bringing in $958 per month, Gen Xers, who are bringing in $751 per month, and Baby Boomers, who are bringing in $561. It's a small monthly hike, but high earning hustlers are still skewing the average much higher.

Lawmakers who had been moving toward repealing Gambia’s landmark ban on female genital cutting overwhelmingly changed course on Monday, voting instead to keep the legislation in place after women staged an intense three-month campaign. Gambia, a sliver of a country on the west coast of Africa, had grabbed international attention earlier this year as it appeared headed to becoming the world’s first nation to roll back protections against cutting. “It would have faced pariah status,” said Satang Nabaneh, a Gambian legal scholar focused on sexual and reproductive rights and women’s rights. Of the 53 members of Gambia’s National Assembly present on Monday, 34 voted to keep the ban, and 19 to overturn it. In March, when 47 members were present, 42 of them voted to overturn the ban.
