The Federal Reserve's move to start cutting interest rates bodes well for dividend-paying stocks, and Morgan Stanley thinks several companies are poised to join their ranks. "Equity investors are seeking durable, higher yielding dividends as market volatility is expected to continue throughout the easing cycle," wrote Morgan Stanley strategist Todd Castagno in a report last Friday. Morgan Stanley drew up a list of companies that might have what it takes to start paying dividends, drawn from stocks that boast net cash and generate a free cash flow exceeding 3%. CNN —A woman accused music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs and his bodyguard of drugging and assaulting her in 2001 and filming the attack, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday in a federal court in New York. Thalia Graves alleged that she met Combs when she was 25 through her boyfriend, who worked at Combs’ record label Bad Boy. CNN has reached out to representatives of Combs and Sherman for comment. In addition, Diddy has been accused in 10 civil lawsuits alleging a range of sexual misconduct and other illegal activity. The suit accuses Combs, Sherman and businesses associated with Combs of violating New York’s Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, and it accuses Combs and Sherman of violating state civil rights law and city administrative code.

OpenAI said Tuesday that its popular chatbot now has an advanced voice feature for people who pay for the premium service. Legal counsel working on behalf of Johansson sent OpenAI letters claiming the company didn't have the right to use the near-identical voice, and OpenAI paused using it in its products, CNBC reported. OpenAI got a head start in the generative AI chatbot market, when it launched ChatGPT in late 2022. The advanced mode is only available to those with subscriptions to OpenAI's Plus, Team or Enterprise plans. The most affordable option is the Plus tier at $20 per month.

Constellation Energy stock is still rising after the power company's landmark announcement last week that it plans to restart the Three Mile Island nuclear plant in Pennsylvania. The operational risk to bring the plant back online in 2028 appears manageable, Morgan Stanley told clients in a note on Monday. Renewable energy and natural gas stocks could also indirectly benefit from nuclear deals, according to Morgan Stanley analyst Stephen Byrd.
