Rowland was asked by the TMZ photographer if she believed that Brown needed to be forgiven. “We all need to be forgiven for anything we can be doing, anything that we’re thinking,” Rowland said.
Tom Petty's estate criticized Kari Lake's campaign for using his song "I Won't Back Down." "This is illegal," the estate tweeted, adding that Lake's campaign used the song without permission. On Thursday, Petty's estate tweeted that the 1989 hit song was "stolen and used without permission or a license to promote Kari Lake's failed campaign." The Arizona Republic reported that Lake's campaign used the song in a YouTube montage of her on the campaign trial that has since been taken down. Former "American Idol" runner-up Willie Spence died following a car accident on Tuesday, according to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Spence, 23, finished as runner-up to Chayce Beckham in the show's 19th season, which aired last year. Just hours before the crash, Spence posted a video of himself singing "You Are My Hiding Place" on his Instagram page. Katharine McPhee Foster, who finished as the runner-up on season five of "Idol" and performed a duet with Spence on season 19, posted news of the death to her Instagram story. Spence planned to perform at a show in London next month, according to a post on his Instagram.

In what's now called "The Pro Bowl Games," players from both conferences will showcase their football and non-football talents in a weeklong series of competitive events, replacing the full-contact Pro Bowl game that started in 1951. The multiday event will be held in Las Vegas in February, and will culminate with a flag football game to take place at Allegiant Stadium, where the Las Vegas Raiders play. Manning will also take part in the coaching staff for the flag football game.

Rihanna will headline the halftime show at next year's SuperBowl, the pop singer, her record label, the NFL and new halftime show sponsor Apple Music announced Sunday. Apple Music, which the NFL announced earlier this week would replace previous sponsor Pepsi as the upcoming halftime show's sponsor, also confirmed the news in a tweet. @rihanna will take the stage for the first ever Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show on 2.12.23," the tweet read. Super Bowl LVII is scheduled for Feb. 12, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. In an interview with Vogue earlier this year, the 34-year-old pop singer said she was working on a new album.
