Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s bid for the Democratic nomination for president has gained a boost from several Silicon Valley executives. Block CEO Jack Dorsey endorsed Kennedy on Twitter on Sunday, while Twitter owner Elon Musk invited the contender to a live audio discussion on the platform. ET on Twitter on Monday and will be moderated by venture capitalist David Sacks, another prominent name in Silicon Valley. A recent Fox News survey found 19% of Democratic primary voters surveyed said they would support Kennedy in the primary, with a margin of error of plus or minus 5 percentage points. After he took over Twitter, the platform stopped enforcing its previous policy to remove misleading information regarding Covid.

So far at least, those efforts have not paid off in Republican primary polling, with DeSantis falling further behind the current front-runner, former President Donald Trump. Early polling problemsThe Fox poll is not alone in showing DeSantis floundering. Candidates polling the way DeSantis is now have gone on to win about 20% of the time. Moderates and liberals made up about 30% of potential Republican primary voters in the Quinnipiac poll.

Kennedy lives in Los Angeles, but he chose Boston as a nod to his family’s deep political roots in the city, even though his father, Robert F. Kennedy, declared his presidential ambitions in the Senate Caucus Room on Capitol Hill in 1968, the same place his uncle, John F. Kennedy, launched his presidential campaign in 1960. “I’m a lifelong Democrat, but I will not be voting for Robert Kennedy Jr. because I cannot stomach the anti-vaccine thing,” said Tyson Humble of Portland, Oregon, who was visiting the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of former President Kennedy, is currently the US ambassador to Australia.

GDANSK, Jan 17 (Reuters) - Mediation talks between Polish state-controlled utility Tauron (TPE.WA) and boiler maker Rafako (RFK.WA) regarding a power unit in Jaworzno have failed to reach a conclusion, the pair signalled on Monday. The 910 MW coal-fired unit, built for Tauron by Rafako as part of a consortium in 2020, has undergone several prolonged outages since commissioning and the parties have been arguing for months about the source of the problem. Tauron said in a statement it remained open to negotiations while Rafako said on Twitter it would submit a "last chance" proposal on Tuesday, as both sides blamed each other over the lack of progress in Monday's arbitration talks hosted by Poland' General Counsel. Tauron and Rafako last week filed counterclaims with demands for payment with regard to the Jaworzno construction deal.
