Around 40% of teenagers say they have cut back on their time on social media, according to a report published Monday by the Pew Research Center. Nearly the same proportion of teens acknowledge that they spend “too much” time on their smartphones (38%) and social media (27%). However, some revealed mixed emotions, as 44% of the teens surveyed said they feel anxious when they’re without their phones. Many parents also say they are keeping tabs on their teens’ smartphone and social media use, with half of parent respondents reporting they’ve looked through their children’s phones, particularly parents of younger teens. WASHINGTON (AP) — Jack Lobel is a college sophomore who will be voting in his first presidential election this fall, casting a ballot for Joe Biden. “If age were really a concern we would not see this much energy around these groups," said Lobel, an urban studies major in New York. “President Biden comes before midterms and exams and papers,” Lobel said, only half-joking. The groups' affinity for the president is little surprise given that young people tend to be more left-leaning than many other voting blocs. Still, it may soften the blow of many voters' concerns about Biden's age.

But while the unsigned, 13-page opinion the Supreme Court handed down Monday decisively resolved the uncertainty around Trump’s eligibility for a second term, it left unsettled questions that could some day boomerang back to the justices. A state court removed Griffin from office and New Mexico’s top court dismissed his appeal and Griffin appealed to the US Supreme Court. And it just makes the presidential transition – if Trump wins – more complicated, unpleasant and problematic than it needed to be.”What about other qualifications for candidacy? The seemingly preposterous hypotheticals came up repeatedly during the Trump ballot cases. But the Supreme Court hasn’t addressed the issue and didn’t offer clues on the point in Monday’s opinion.

☆ Cycling helmet: Outlandish design under review by governing body

That is as long as the design passes a review by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), cycling’s global governing body. Team Visma-Lease a Bike riders debuted the large helmet at the Tirreno-Adriatico prologue in Italy on Monday. However, on Tuesday, the UCI referenced the new design while announcing a review into its rules around helmets in competitions. As part of its helmet regulations, the UCI insists that all helmets used by professional riders are also available to the public. CNN has contacted Specialized, Visma-Lease a Bike, Giro and Rudy Project for comment on the UCI’s review into helmet designs.
