Business Insider's Eugene Kim, our resident Amazon expert, has a report on the growing tension and burnout among AWS employees. Charlie Munger, who passed away Tuesday at the age of 99, had a last big call on AI: it's overhyped. It was counterintuitive, but his last big call could be right: AI is overhyped. One part of artificial intelligence will have an increasing role to play, according to Morgan Stanley. The theme, which it called "Edge AI," involves running AI algorithms directly on a user's device, be it a smartphone, laptop or wearable, among other things. Edge AI can help save costs, reduce latency (or lag time), among other benefits, Morgan Stanley said. MediaTek Morgan Stanley said MediaTek , the largest chip design house in Asia, is gearing up for Edge AI. Xiaomi Morgan Stanley said Xiaomi is a key beneficiary, given its first-mover advantage in Edge AI.

Once a darling of the tech world, Dell stock is up nearly 120% in just over a year. Dell is a prime example of a stock that has recently disconnected from its fundamentals as a result of the hype from AI. Dell reports earnings in a week and I believe this is an opportunity to fade it going into earnings. With implied volatility quite elevated going into earnings, my preference is to be a seller of options and volatility. I'm looking out to the Dec 29 weekly options and selling the $75/82 call vertical for a $2.47 credit.
