Former President Donald Trump does not have presidential immunity from prosecution on criminal charges related to his efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss, a federal appeals court unanimously ruled Tuesday. The ruling is the latest major legal loss for Trump, who is the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination. "For the purpose of this criminal case, former President Trump has become citizen Trump, with all of the defenses of any other criminal defendant," the panel wrote in the 57-page opinion. Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung decried the ruling, claiming in a statement that without "complete" presidential immunity, "every future President who leaves office will be immediately indicted by the opposing party." He added, "President Trump respectfully disagrees with the DC Circuit's decision and will appeal it in order to safeguard the Presidency and the Constitution."

Later on Nov. 11 and continuing into the next day, "co-conspirators transferred over $400 million in virtual currency from [FTX's] virtual currency walls to virtual currency wallets controlled by the co-conspirators. The indictment says that several weeks before the FTX hack, the scheme looted $293,000 in virtual currency from one victim, and days later, stole more than $1 million in crypto from another person. Voters in New Hampshire are casting the first primary votes of the 2024 presidential election in more than 300 voting locations across the Granite State. New Hampshire Secretary of State David Scalan said he expects turnout will exceed 400,000 voters, with the lion's share of those ballots being cast in the Republican primary. A federal appeals court Tuesday upheld a lifetime ban on "pharma bro" Martin Shkreli from working in the pharmaceuticals industry as well as an order to pay up to $64.6 million in disgorged profits for blocking competition to the drug Daraprim. His lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, in a statement to CNBC on the appeals court decision, said, "The lifetime ban is too severe." A former high-ranking lawyer at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court to conspiring to sexually exploit multiple children and now faces a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 15 years. "Black and his co-conspirators would covertly record this conduct and share the videos with each other," the DOJ said. Black pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Virginia, to one count of conspiracy to produce child pornography and one count of coercion and enticement. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and a maximum sentence of life behind bars. The FDIC said Black's criminal activity "had nothing whatsoever to do with the FDIC," and did not involve the use of agency computers or other devices.
