BEIJING — Chinese home appliance company Hisense aims to become the No. 1 seller of television sets in the U.S. in about two years, Catherine Fang, president of Hisense International, told CNBC in an exclusive interview Monday. FIFA President Gianni Infantino, FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström, and Hisense Group Chairman Jia Shaoqian attended an event in Shanghai on Oct. 30 to mark the partnership. "We hope through this sponsorship we can increase our market share," Fang said in Mandarin, translated by CNBC. The company was not immediately able to share to what extent those features were available on TV sets in the U.S.Hisense's 55-inch U8 TV series starts at around $700 in the U.S., while the 100-inch version costs around $3,000 or more.

The body of the Salem, New Hampshire, girl was found in a Lawrence, Massachusetts, trainyard on Sept. 12, 1988, a day after she was reported missing. The family, in statement, said they respected the process but believe McClendon was still guilty of murder based on the DNA results. Orlando, Florida, police released the identities of the two men killed in a Halloween shooting in downtown Orlando last week. Tyrek Hill, 25, and Timothy Schmidt Jr., 19, were killed Friday when a gunman opened fire shortly after 1 a.m. during a Halloween celebration, police said. At a news conference Friday, Police Chief Eric Smith said Halloween is one of Orlando’s busiest nights of the year, with crowds of 50,000 to 100,000. About 100 police officers were patrolling the area and tackled the shooter soon after the shots were fired, Smith said. The video police released showed an officer knock down the attacker and three others run to help arrest him.
