The agency said the boat had suffered an accident, after which 23 of those on board were saved, while 22 bodies had been found. Marques Brownlee took his Rivian R1T to a Supercharger that had just been opened to non-Teslas. He said non-Tesla EVs sometimes took up multiple parking spots due to their charging port locations. The YouTuber said the charging station makes his Rivian a better car, but cuts into Tesla's advantage. Youtuber Marques Brownlee took his Rivian R1T to a Tesla Supercharger in rural New York last week and he said on Twitter that the visit "descended into chaos" when other non-Tesla drivers showed up as well. The billionaire agreed to begin opening up some of the electric-car maker's Superchargers to non-Tesla owners earlier this year.
Mithat Sancar, co-leader of the left-wing Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), parliament's third biggest, made the appeal late on Monday after the six-party opposition bloc announced that Kemal Kilicdaroglu would be its candidate. "The open support of the HDP would draw (negative) reactions, notably from the IYI Party and its grassroots," he said of the nationalist party, second-biggest in the alliance. "HDP support is extremely critical," he said, but added it could undermine backing elsewhere. In campaigning, Erdogan will likely play up alleged links and the HDP's opposition role, analysts say. The second official, who was not authorised to speak on the record, said some Kurdish voters would not back the opposition alliance due to IYI's involvement.

MEXICO CITY, March 3 (Reuters) - Mexico would not be able to match the incentives offered under a U.S. act to tame inflation if Tesla Inc builds a battery plant in the country, Mexico's finance minister said on Friday, days after Tesla announced the construction of a "gigafactory" there. Tesla (TSLA.O) has not confirmed whether it will also build a battery plant in Mexico, but local officials say Tesla has visited the central states of Hidalgo, Queretaro and Puebla to scout potential sites. A decision on a battery plant in Mexico has yet to be announced. "The battery plant was not in (Tesla's) original plan, it was the Mexican government's suggestion," Ramirez said. Without legislation, Ramirez said, Mexico would not be able to match U.S. incentives.

[1/4] This image depicts NASA's DART spacecraft and its two long solar panels over the spot where it impacted asteroid Dimorphos in September 2022. "The DART test was phenomenally successful. The Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) spacecraft collided on Sept. 26 at about 14,000 miles per hour (22,530 kph) into Dimorphos, an asteroid about 490 feet (150 meters) in diameter, roughly 6.8 million miles (11 million km) from Earth. Finally, the spacecraft bus - the box between the solar panels - hit between these two boulders," Daly said. The research also clarified details such as the precise location of the impact and the angle of impact.
Ford wants to patent a system that would let cars repossess themselves if drivers miss payments. If the owner still skips payments, the car could lock them out and drive itself to a repo agency or even a scrapyard. If the owner is still behind on payments at this point, the car may take some pretty drastic action. In yet another case, the repossession system computer may communicate with the computer of the lending institution to identify the car's market value. If it would cost more to repossess the car than the car is worth, the vehicle could even drive itself to a scrapyard.

Companies Tesla Inc FollowAMSTERDAM, Feb 22 (Reuters) - The Dutch personal data watchdog said on Wednesday it would not fine Tesla Inc. (TSLA.O) over possible privacy violations after the U.S. carmaker made changes to vehicle security cameras. Tesla uses such cameras in its cars to help owners protect them against theft or vandalism, but the Dutch Data Protection Authority (DPA) investigated them as a potential violation. The agency said Tesla had made changes to its "Sentry Mode" feature in which the cameras are activated since the DPA investigation began. The agency said as a result, the car's owners, rather than Tesla, would be legally responsible for improper filming. "The DPA's investigation has not resulted in a fine or other sanction for Tesla," it said.
ANTANANARIVO, Feb 21 (Reuters) - Madagascar's government on Tuesday suspended schools and transport in the path of tropical cyclone Freddy, which was likely to make landfall in the southeast of the country by evening. The cyclone is expected to hit Mananjary district, about 270 km from the capital Antananarivo, with winds of nearly 155 km per hour, Madagascar's meteorological services said. All traffic in cyclone Freddy's projected path was suspended overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday, the country's ministry of transport and meteorology said. Cyclone Freddy is expected to make landfall nearly a month after storm Cheneso battered the island nation of 29 million, killing 33 people and forcing thousands from their homes. "It is expected to cause locally devastating winds and a very dangerous sea state near the impact zone in Madagascar," UNOCHA said on Monday.

It was a long-term deal so I don't think we have to confront that yet, but it's gone terrifically for us, actually. If you don't want to compete, don't come in. Can you talk about the synergy with the Whitney Houston movie — she was a Sony Music artist — or "Gran Turismo," a Playstation game? Do you wish HBO Max's "The Last of Us," which is also based on a Sony Playstation game, had been a movie? A lot of big movies come out of it.

Automation technology has ushered in a fleet of secret workers behind screens, machines, and smiling robot faces. On the AI side, tools like ChatGPT have been used to write real articles and take college exams. Truck drivers are still in high demand, and self-driving technology is nowhere near replacing human jobs. The human behind the curtainAmid the fear-mongering about a robot takeover, people often miss the degree to which machines still require human workers in order to function. Maja Hitij/Getty ImagesThese technologies are often deployed to de-skill work — jobs are broken down into more specific tasks and can be done with less training.
I've tested 20 electric cars, SUVs, and pickup trucks from Tesla, Ford, Porsche, Polestar, and more. But electric cars are quick, convenient, fun to drive, and quiet. Hours behind the wheel taught me some important lessons about range, charging, and our electric future. Charging can be more convenient than getting gasRecharging an electric car takes a whole lot longer than filling up on gas. The best ones offer spacious interiors and clever storageToday's electric cars typically use what's known as a skateboard platform, which is basically what it sounds like.
Operations were interrupted at the Ceyhan oil port — a critical hub for the discharge of crude oil and oil products, along with the loading of Azeri crude and a stream of Iraqi crude oil — on Monday, following two earthquakes that devastated Turkey and Syria, leaving over 5,000 dead. It also exports volumes of two crude oil streams — the Azeri crude oil delivered through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) consortium's pipeline, and the Iraqi Kirkuk blend crude oil transferred through the separate Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline. Loadings of the two crude oil terminals are undertaken from two different points within Ceyhan port, with BTC crude oil leaving the BTC terminal, while the Kirkuk blend sails from the Botas terminal. An oil trade source familiar with KRG operations told CNBC that the pipeline could likely begin flows later Tuesday. An oil tanker ship is awaiting to berth to load Kirkuk blend crude.

Miniseries | E+ | Getty ImagesAs with many line items in your household budget, your auto insurance probably costs more this year than in 2022. While auto insurance tends to eat up a small share of a person's income — about 3% for the average person, according to the Bankrate study — you may be able to reduce it even further. "If you're working from home now, I'd definitely let your insurance company know you're not commuting to work," said Brian Moody, executive editor of Kelley Blue Book. If you were to increase your deductible to $500 from $250, it could reduce your coverage cost by 15% to 30%, Friedlander said. "Auto insurance is extremely competitive and companies want your business to grow their market share," Friedlander said.
Hilton CEO Chris Nassetta says selling his black Porsche 944 was the best financial decision he ever made. "I spent all my money on that stupid car." Since 2007, Nassetta has driven something more practical: a four-door Lexus sedan he bought just after landing the top role at Hilton. In 2020, the mechanic called Nassetta to say he'd found someone nearby with the vehicle — but it was barely running. Together, Nassetta and the mechanic spent two years repairing the car, completing the project last May.
