It has plans to move all its future products onto four new BEV platforms, STLA Small, Medium, Large and Frame, starting with STLA Medium from Europe this year. The STLA Medium platform will support several propulsion configurations; in full electric configuration it will feature a standard range of over 500 kilometres, which can be raised to up to 700 kilometres with a 'performance pack'. "BEV is the focus of the design of this platform," Tavares said. Stellantis said it currently offered 26 models in the market segments which will be served by the STLA Medium platform. Aimed at the mid-sized cars, the STLA Medium platform will be the base for up to two million Stellantis vehicles a year, built in several plants across the world, the Italian-French group said in a statement.

Wegovy was approved as an obesity treatment in June 2021 , but Ozempic, a Type 2 diabetes treatment, has been used off-label for weight loss. Mounjaro uses GLP-1 and gastric inhibitory polypeptide, or GIP, to help patients lose weight. Eli Lilly's oral drug, orforglipron, has an even better profile . They also could be helpful in assisting patients in maintaining weight loss after they've used the injectable versions, he said. Some have highlighted that oral drugs also may be more manageable for patients who can't handle the idea of giving themselves a once-a-week injection.

Do Yoga Pants Qualify as Real Pants?

I feel great when working out and love yoga pants. But as the return to work has picked up at least some steam, so has the debate about the actual “pants-ness” of yoga pants. This is in part why they are sometimes known as “boot-cut leggings” or “flared leggings” instead of “yoga pants.” By borrowing the language of pants, they edge closer to that category. But let’s be honest: Yoga pants are not pants. Yoga pants, on the other hand, are much more about revealing the body in some of its glory.

House Republican leaders working to write and pass the spending bills that fund the government face a major hurdle: Their own party — especially their most powerful, arch-conservative faction — has spent the last decade assailing federal spending and, with growing frequency, casting vote after vote against it. members of the House have supported spending bills less than half the time over the last dozen years, according to a New York Times analysis of such votes since 2011. Hard-right lawmakers associated with the Freedom Caucus, which has been the most outspoken about slashing spending, have voted in favor of government funding bills less than 20 percent of the time. Despite all of that, Speaker Kevin McCarthy, working to manage a right-wing revolt, has agreed to tailor the spending bills to the demands of a group of lawmakers who have rarely, if ever, supported such measures during their time in Congress. The approach could make it difficult to move the bills through the House and place the chamber on a collision course with the Democrat-controlled Senate that could lead to a government shutdown this fall.

Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Not everyone with debt would have been covered under the Biden administration’s student loan forgiveness plan. The Supreme Court has barred the Biden administration from carrying out its plan to extinguish up to $20,000 in federal student loan debt, and millions of borrowers will continue to struggle under the weight of their loans. Ms. Schmidt owes $64,000 in student debt, more than half of which is for her graduate work in nursing. But she’s already contemplating how she’ll finance her dream of becoming a civil rights lawyer, which typically requires an additional six figures in student debt. Yet her mother is still paying down student debt of her own.

Financial services providers can take several steps today to attract and retain new generations of consumers. Washington CNN —As demand for greater transparency in artificial intelligence mounts, Meta released tools and information Thursday aimed at helping users understand how AI influences what they see on its apps. These describe how Meta selects what content to recommend to users. Meta’s so-called “system cards” cover how the company determines which accounts to present to users as recommended follows on Facebook and Instagram, how the company’s search tools function and how notifications work. Previously, Meta had only offered the ability for users to tell Instagram to show less, not more, Clegg wrote. On both Facebook and Instagram, he added, users will now be able to customize their feeds further by accessing a menu from individual posts.

SHANGHAI/HONG KONG, June 27 (Reuters) - China should allow cross-border sharing of information by financial firms operating in the country, a leading financial lobby group said, as authorities tighten control of data generated within its borders in a national security drive. Last July, China unveiled cross-border data review measures that require a security review for "important" offshore data transfers - a move that triggered confusion and concern among foreign financial firms operating in the country. The financial sector lobby group said cross-border transfer of data such as investment outlooks, portfolio analysis, shareholding information and anti-money laundering information should be allowed. However, ASIFMA said the data security rules have made operating in China "very painful" for some of its members. One major complaint from firms operating in China is that Chinese data rules are ambiguous, the lobby group said.

AI is already sending waves throughout education, with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates saying AI chatbots can teach kids to read in 18 months rather than years. Younger generations are surrounded by digital tools, and experts say it's only a matter of time before classrooms are immersed in AI. AI for routine learning, teachers for personalized lessonsAI, and specifically chatbots backed by programmed large language models, can help students, from primary education to certification programs, self-guide through voluminous materials and tailor their education to specific learning styles. With the rise of AI, teachers can transition from being a general practitioner to more of a specialist, where they can focus on helping kids with particular issues and specific concepts, he added. AI can also help teachers leverage existing knowledge and content, so they can repurpose it and dramatically reduce their workload, Guo said.

A German book featuring sexual positions is not recommended by education ministries or authorities producing frameworks for sex education in the country, contrary to online posts claiming it is a textbook used in schools. Publishers say it is an educational book for parents who want to teach their children about sex. An EMF Verlag spokesperson said: “It is not a textbook specifically for children in Germany used in schools or education settings. Federal German states regularly exchange information on sex education content and concepts, but they decide independently whether to implement the KMK’s recommendations, Heil added. The sex education book “Von wegen Bienchen und Blümchen!” is not recommended in school curricula in Germany or considered a textbook.

Those announcements follow decisions by GM (GM.N) and Ford (F.N) to add Tesla charging technology, shunning efforts by the Biden administration to make CCS the dominant charging standard in the United States. Texas - home to Tesla's headquarters and a new car factory complex - is the first state which will mandate Tesla's charging technology, giving a boost to CEO Elon Musk's hope of making it the national charging standard. "It’ll effectively make an NACS the new charging standard," Cox said. The move was to prevent Tesla's North America Charging Standard from dominating the network. And at least one other state is considering giving applicants bonus points on applications if they include the Tesla charging ports.

June 20 (Reuters) - OpenAI, creator of the widely popular chatbot ChatGPT, plans to launch a marketplace that will allow developers to sell their AI models built on top of its own AI technology, news site the Information reported on Tuesday, citing people with knowledge of discussions at the company. According to the news report, makers of such models could offer them to other businesses through OpenAI's proposed marketplace. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman disclosed the potential plans during a meeting with developers in London last month, the report said. Such a marketplace could compete with app stores run by some of the company's customers and technology partners - including Salesforce (CRM.N) and Microsoft (MSFT.O) - and help OpenAI's technology reach a broader customer base. Companies are also racing to offer their customers new tools and capabilities based on the AI software's advanced large language models (LLMs).

The Marvel series for Disney+ vary in their degree of independence from the mega-narrative that threads through Marvel’s feature films. An attempt to link Fury’s experience of racism and exclusion with the plight of the homeless, persecuted Skrulls doesn’t add anything worth noting, at least in the early going. Amid the franchise tending that’s going on in “Secret Invasion,” one decision feels like a potential misstep: emphasizing Fury’s weariness and malaise. When he does get a chance to be fierce, the writing — “I’m Nick Fury. Even when I’m out, I’m in” — doesn’t hold much promise of future satisfaction.

It’s dangerous to show that part of your body,” said Suzanne Corcoran. The chief marketing officer at Twilio says AI will soon be in use in sales and marketing at every company. There are many parts of the business world where AI is going to have a huge impact, but sales and marketing is one of the big ones. To be sure, Twilio builds products that faciliate sales and marketing, but other CMOs agree that AI could supercharge those activities. It allows you to ingest a whole slew of data that's virtually impossible for a human being to take in and synthesize. In 12 months, I really think for every company, every marketing team, every sales team, generative and predictive AI is going to be a core part of every tool that they use.

I decided to try launching a fitness business but stayed in my job for the time being. I spent the bulk of the money I'd saved hiring a video team to film 11 workout videos. In 2016, I asked Fabletics if I could film workout videos for them in their apparel. I wore the leggings in my YouTube videos and posted the link in the description. People started asking for more YouTube videos, so now we have an option for customers to pay $5.99 for additional workout videos and behind-the-scenes videos.

[1/5] People put out burning barricades that were set on fire by supporters of Senegal opposition leader Ousmane Sonko, after Sonko was sentenced to prison in Dakar, Senegal June 1, 2023. Nine people were killed in clashes between riot police and Sonko supporters on Thursday after he was sentenced to two years for corrupting youth. The opposition says the verdict, which could prevent Sonko from running in elections next year, was politically motivated. Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar was the epicentre of Thursday's violence, with protesters setting buses alight and throwing rocks at riot police, who responded by firing tear gas. One student, Alioune Ndiaye, said he planned to travel hundreds of miles to his home in eastern Senegal to escape the violence.
