Watching “Oppenheimer,” the Oscar-winning biopic about the father of the atomic bomb that opened in Japan on Friday, Kako Okuno was stunned by a scene in which scientists celebrated the explosion over Hiroshima with thunderous foot stomping and the waving of American flags. Appearing on the First We Feast's viral YouTube interview series "Hot Ones," Paltrow was asked by host Sean Evans about the rumor that Clinton "passed out asleep" during a White House screening of the Jane Austen adaptation. Despite Clinton's response to the film, "Emma" received generally positive reviews from critics and was nominated for two Academy Awards, one for costume design and another for original score. Paltrow's role in "Emma" came two years before Paltrow's Oscar-winning performance in another period piece, "Shakespeare in Love."

Director Derek Tsang told BI that he brought in a Chinese writer to help with the Mandarin dialogue.
