Iran has agreed to help Russia with attack drone production, according to The Washington Post. Russia has not officially confirmed that drones it has used in Ukraine were Iranian. Russia's unprovoked war on Ukraine has persisted since February, despite Russian forces retreating from areas in the southern in recent weeks. Russia has used more than 400 Iranian-made drones in its war against Ukraine, according to The Post. Iran previously denied supplying the drones to Russia, but Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said earlier this month that Iran did send drones to Russia "before the Ukraine war."

Russia paid for Iranian drones with 140 million Euros cash and captured Western weapons, per Sky News. The Western weapons could be reverse-engineered by Iran, Sky's source said. The Western weapons Iran reportedly received could be instrumental for Iran's own weapons development systems. But, the source told Sky, the captured Western weapons will now "probably be reverse-engineered and used in future wars." In mid-October a Russian defense official was caught on a hot mic saying it was an open secret that the Kremlin had indeed imported Russian drones.

ATLANTA — Former President Barack Obama is set to headline a rally Friday for Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., and the Democratic candidate for governor, Stacey Abrams, in the closing stretch of the 2022 election in this highly competitive battleground state. Georgia played a determinative role last cycle and could likely be in the same position two years later,” Obama adviser Eric Schultz said ahead of the event. Warnock, who was first elected in a 2020 special election, is polling neck and neck in recent surveys with Republican challenger Herschel Walker. "The state where we’re going downhill is Georgia," Schumer could be heard telling Biden. Asked about the remarks, Justin Goodman, a spokesman for the majority leader, told NBC News: “Schumer believes the Democratic candidates will win.”

Recent comments by Kanye West, now known as Ye, echo ancient antisemitic tropes, writes Tal Lavin. Over on Instagram, where I'd posted a picture of me cuddling a goat, someone commented: "Kanye West was right about you people." But these sentiments are just the tip of a much longer spear. Ye's comments in particular echo a very long history of antisemitic tropes — tropes that have left a trail of blood in their wake. On "Drink Champs" Ye spit into the mic about the evils of the "Jewish media."
Russian officials previously traveled to Iran to learn how to use suicide drones, the US said this week. This was before Iranian military personnel came to Crimea to train Russian troops, an official said. Russian forces have used Iranian-made suicide drones to terrorize Ukrainian cities in recent weeks. "We assess that Iranian personnel, Iranian military personnel, were on the ground in Crimea and assisted Russia in these operations." Both Moscow and Tehran have denied the use of Iranian-made suicide drones in Ukraine, despite mounting evidence and accusations from Western governments and intelligence agencies.
A Russian defense advisor recently revealed that Russia uses Iranian-made drones in Ukraine. Both Russia and Iran have denied that Tehran's suicide drones are being deployed in Ukraine. Ruslan Pukhov, who is also a military expert, recently joined Russian Business Channel (RBC TV) for a television interview. Pukhov appears unaware that the show is already on the air, and he reveals before the interview gets started that Russia has been using Iranian-made suicide drones, even if the Kremlin isn't acknowledging it. In addition to the Shahed-136, Russian forces have also deployed Iranian-made Shahed-129, Shahed-191, and Qods Mohajer-6 drones.
So even for Grammy, Emmy, Tony and Pulitzer winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, his first songbook, containing 27 songs from “Hamilton,” “Encanto,” “In the Heights” and more, was a big deal. At the event, his nephew Alejandro performed “Dos Oruguitas” (from “Encanto”) on the piano, and was joined by his own teacher for “You’ll Be Back” (from “Hamilton”). You grew up with musical theater and piano lessons — how does it feel to have your own songbook? And it really was a teacher who brought me out of just writing songs about girls in the back of the classroom. That’s a really fun thing about the whole process: When you’re there early enough, your songs can really be a part of a give-and-take.
I no longer miss the “old” Kanye West, now known as Ye. I’m tired of hearing about the new Ye, and I wish we could stop talking about him altogether. Days before that, he appeared with far-right pundit Candace Owens flaunting “White Lives Matter” T-shirts during Paris Fashion Week. This includes to stopping asking for the “old Kanye” back. Chop up the soul Kanye, set on his goals Kanye.” At first, I sang the lyrics with hope that the “old Kanye” who once had such a hopeful swagger would return, that he would get past his ego and be born again as the creative powerhouse whose every move we followed with anticipation instead of dread.

Mary Fitzgerald has starred on 'Selling Sunset' for 5 seasons. It's definitely a different show than "Selling Sunset," as the agents are younger and they have a lot more drama going on. That being said, being on "Selling Sunset" has been good for our business. Working in the Oppenheim Group office has also changed a lot since "Selling Sunset." Some of the agents just didn't want to be on "Selling Sunset" — they don't want to put their lives out there, which is understandable.
SLEEP IS my drug of choice. If I sleep well, life is a beautiful song, with me on lead vocals and backing harmonies from the Little River Band (1981 lineup). If I don’t sleep well, I am grumpy, stupid, each individual vertebra aches, my arms are numb and my complexion resembles that of the Nazi officer in “Raiders of the Lost Ark” right before his face melts off. Given this, you might assume I have invested lots of time and energy finding the perfect mattress. Instead, I viewed occasionally useless arms and a melting face as a less painful alternative to navigating the ever-expanding, impenetrable Mattress Industrial Complex (MIC) with its countless stuffing options, firmness levels, delivery windows and gratuitous use of the word Avocado, an actual mattress brand, to refer to something you sleep on.

South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol was captured on a hot mic reportedly disparaging American lawmakers. Yoon was overheard calling members of US Congress "idiots" in a now-viral clip. The remarks were made after Yoon met with US President Joe Biden in New York City. Yoon and Biden met Wednesday at the Global Fund's Seventh Replenishment Conference in New York City. The South Korean president's remark was apparently in reference to Biden pledging $6 billion in funding to the Global Fund, an international organization that aims to defeat HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria.
CNN —A criticism of US lawmakers by the President of South Korea has gone viral on social media – after a hot mic picked him up using an expletive. In a video published by South Korean television broadcaster MBC on its official YouTube channel on Thursday, Yoon can be seen walking along the stage after chatting with Biden before turning to his aides and speaking. The Global Fund is an international organization trying to defeat HIV, TB and malaria across the developing world and Yoon’s remark appears to be a reference to Biden’s pledge to contribute $6 billion, which would require Congress approval. Many social media users have taken to mocking Yoon, while the expletive he used has become a popular search term on the South Korean online portal Naver. His remarks were not lost on members of the opposition liberal party who commented on the issue at Thursday’s National Assembly.
REUTERS/Amr AlfikySEOUL, Sept 23 (Reuters) - A series of gaffes and controversies is overshadowing South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol's first major overseas tour, sending his ratings plunging and inviting scathing criticism from some lawmakers even within his own party. This week, Yoon visited London for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth and then New York in his first U.S. trip to attend the U.N. General Assembly, before arriving in Canada on Thursday. His press secretary, Kim Eun-hye, dismissed the accusation, saying Yoon was referring to the South Korean parliament without mentioning Biden. Yoon and Biden had planned informal talks in New York, but ended up having just a 48-second chat at the Global Fund. Yoon's office said that was a "Plan B" due to changes in Biden's schedule, and said they also met in London when Yoon raised the EV subsidies issue.
The Federal Reserve's signal that it may risk a recession in its inflation fight prompted Evercore ISI to slash its market forecast Thursday. The Wall Street firm cut its year-end S & P 500 target to 3,975 from 4,200. The new target is still about 5% higher than Wednesday's close of 3,789.93 but would represent a 16% decline for 2022. The Summary of Economic Projections from the Fed showed the unemployment rate is estimated to rise to 4.4% by next year from its current 3.7%. Such a rise in unemployment has a near unblemished record of leading to a recession in short order," Emanuel said.
Elon Musk has fired many lawyers but hired Alex Spiro for at least five cases, with a mixed record. But there's at least one lawyer who Musk seems to get along with: Alex Spiro. Spiro had been working behind the scenes for the billionaire when he was trying to buy Twitter. But they are hardly the "hardcore street fighters" Musk wants in a lawyer, according to a recent tweet of his. It's not clear how Spiro and Musk connected in the first place, but they seem to operate on the same wavelength.
Xavier Lorenzo/Getty ImagesHere's what: Biden's student-loan forgiveness plan was more generous than expectedOn August 24, President Biden announced his long-awaited plan for student-loan forgiveness: Individual borrowers earning less than $125,000 would receive $10,000 of forgiveness, and students who received Pell Grants (i.e. low-income students demonstrating financial need) would receive an additional $10,000 for a total of up to $20,000 in forgiveness. "Broad student-loan forgiveness can change the course of my life, and many people's lives. Loan forgiveness is an investment in everyday people whose debt has held them back.
