Still, the question remains: Does cannabis truly cause psychosis and related diseases such as schizophrenia — or is this another overblown claim? It is especially important for us, as doctors, to untangle whether cannabis actually causes psychosis. Still, of all the drugs associated with this uncommon kind of psychosis, cannabis is the most common culprit. CBD products should only be purchased from reputable companies that test their products through independent labs and share the results. We shouldn’t jump to the conclusion that cannabis causes psychosis, but anyone who plans to use cannabis should know their personal risk factors and exercise caution accordingly.

“I didn’t realize I would go down in history as Anderson versus Trump,” she told CNN in an interview. The case she’s referring to – now Trump v. Anderson – revolves around Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which bans insurrectionists from holding public office. “And I said absolutely.”But before embarking on the unprecedented case against Trump, Anderson made plenty of history of her own. While there, from 1997 to 1998, she was the majority leader of the lower chamber. A lifelong Republican, Anderson left the Colorado legislature in 2006, as the state’s politics started shifting.

The unredacted report found that Biden carelessly handled classified materials after he left the vice presidency, even sharing classified materials with the ghostwriter for his autobiography. But the report by special counsel Robert K. Hur recommended that Biden not be prosecuted, since the evidence was not powerful enough to charge him. It was that headline Biden himself seized on Wednesday afternoon as he rallied fellow Democrats at their retreat in Leesburg, Virginia. "I was especially pleased to see the special counsel make clear the stark differences in this case and Donald Trump," Biden added, referring to the 40 -count indictment against the former president. Trump is facing serious legal consequences because of his classified documents case, but Biden may face serious political damage from the special counsel's report on his handling of classified materials.

As my vision declined in my right eye, I began to struggle with lights at night, something I was convinced was a sign of a deadly disease — or my impending blindness. Despite coming across a few horror stories related to laser eye surgery of botched procedures and rare side effects, I decided to take the plunge. CNN —Donald Trump is not immune from prosecution for alleged crimes he committed during his presidency to reverse the 2020 election results, a federal appeals court said Tuesday. The ruling is a major blow to Trump’s key defense thus far in the federal election subversion case brought against him by special counsel Jack Smith. “For the purpose of this criminal case, former President Trump has become citizen Trump, with all of the defenses of any other criminal defendant. But any executive immunity that may have protected him while he served as President no longer protects him against this prosecution,” the court wrote. Not protected under separation of powers clauseThe appeals court found that Trump is not protected from criminal prosecution under the separation of powers clause.

But it also sets the stage for additional appeals from the Republican ex-president that could reach the U.S. Supreme Court and result in further delays. The judges gave Trump until February 12 to ask the Supreme Court to pause the ruling. The appeals court took center stage in the immunity dispute after the Supreme Court in December said it was at least temporarily staying out of it, rejecting a request from Smith's team to take up the matter quickly and issue a speedy ruling. But the court could yet still decide to act on a Trump team appeal, adding to the uncertainty of a trial date. The high court declined the request, leaving the matter with the appeals court.

Titled “Eileen Agar: Flowering of a Wing: Works, 1936 -1989,” this knockout is at Andrew Kreps Gallery (through Saturday). Its title, taken from one of the canvases here, signals Agar’s lifelong devotion to nature and to ambiguous meanings. Agar may be best known for her collages and their fusion of Surrealist imagination and Cubist structure and geometry. But this show homes in on the paintings, which have a contemporary air and are plenty interesting enough. Most of the paintings here involve several shades of blue, as if haunted by Matisse’s “The Blue Window” (1913) in the Museum of Modern Art.

True to form, Swift ensured this year's Grammy discourse would be dominated by her music, even if she didn't win a major award. Alas, the evening ended with Swift notching her record-breaking fourth win for album of the year. I was even more disappointed to watch Swift win over SZA, whose sophomore album, "SOS," earned universal acclaim. Despite being the most awarded person in Grammy history, Beyoncé has won only once in a general-field category (song of the year for "Single Ladies" in 2010). Only 11 Black artists have ever won album of the year.

Heart failure typically occurs as a result of another health condition, such as a heart attack, coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, or heart rhythm and valve abnormalities. Smoking, being overweight, eating foods high in fat and cholesterol, and living a sedentary lifestyle can contribute to heart failure because they increase the risk of developing heart conditions associated with it. Dancy is part of The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Class of Survivors 2024. LUANG PRABANG, Laos (AP) — Landlocked Laos doesn't have the famous beaches of its neighbors to attract tourists, but instead relies on the pristine beauty of its mountains and rivers and historical sites to bring in visitors. The crown jewel is Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where legend has it that Buddha once rested during his travels. Nestled among the mountains of northern Laos, Luang Prabang was the capital from the 14th to the 16th century before it was moved to Vientiane. “This dam won't generate a lot of power for Laos, it's going to power new shopping malls in Bangkok,” Eyler said of the Luang Prabang project. “In isolation, the potential transboundary harmful effects due to the Luang Prabang hydropower project may not be substantial," the river commission said.

No modern president has been as visceral about Washington as Trump – and his contempt offers insight into his politics and his character. Washington’s marbled monuments have also been the been the backdrop for some of the most notorious moments of Trump’s political career and have highlighted his autocratic leanings. In 2020, he tweeted that people protesting the death of Floyd would be met by “vicious dogs” if they breached the White House fence. Lyndon Johnson and George W. Bush were always keen to swap the White House for their Texas ranches. Presidents have also often ventured out of the White House for refreshment.
